gel nails????

when i went for my pre op nurse told me i could keep my nails on because they were gel but would have to remove them if they were acrylic just wondered if anyone has kept gel nails on because i thought i would have to remove any false nails????

It’s only so they can see your nail beds chick, to check that circulation is ok while your under anaesthetic. So long as it’s clear you should be ok I would av thought?? I had a minor op in June n I had clear acrylic and tips on xx

i got white tops and clear so i should be on then im panicking thinking they will send me home lol x

I’ve got acrylic white tips??? do you think they’ll be ok to keep on??? I’d be lost without them!!! x

I kept my gel nails on. Only had to remove my black toe nail polish so they could see the nail bed and check oxygen levels. They had to mess around a bit to get the pulse thing over my finger though, so i think that’s why they prefer you don’t have false nails/ long nails on at all xx

skybird they told me acrylic has to be removed but gel can stay have u had ur pre op yet?
