What is everyone’s thoughts about General Anesthetic? My BA is in a week and I’m anxious beyond belief. Any tips on how to chill out a bit?
    Thanks x

I was sooooo scared! They gave me diazepam beforehand & it chilled me right out! The anaesthetist asked me to count backwards from 10 & I was gone by the time I got to 7 & was awake with new boobs! Xx

Aw it’s just the unknown isn’t it? And never having GA you don’t know what to expect. How long before you got taken did they give you that? x

Just try and think of it as the best sleep you will ever have. I’ve been put under twice now and both times you’re asleep in seconds and then next thing you know you’re in recovery and waking up. You won’t have any tubes or anything when you’re being woken up so don’t worry about that. Try and take lots of deep breaths which might help to calm you down. They will chat to you about random
things to help keep your mind off it and they do this all day every day so you’re in safe hands xx

I’ve had the same concerns as my op is 3 weeks away! However I’ve come to realise that we’ll only be under for 45mins – 1hr so it’s much less risky than being put under for multiple hours (which is common for most surgeries). So keep that in mind! X

I’ve had my BA and the lead up to the day was so nerve wracking but on the day I was really tired so didn’t really have the energy to get myself worked up. I got taken at about 2pm so it was a long day of waiting about so I was just dying to get it done, when they took me down my heart was going crazy so they gave me something to chill me out a bit and next thing I knew I was awake with new boobs and felt well rested 😊 thanks for the replies and it’s so true isn’t it, it’s over and done so quickly and they are very well experienced
