I’m most scared of this and I don’t even know why!! Where do they inject you? How long does it take to fall asleep? Does it feel like you’ve been asleep for ages or only a minute??

hi ya, im worried about this too, even tho ive had generals before, i wasnt nervous then, but for my ba thats up and comming im well scared, lol x they inject you in ure hand, or sometimes in ure arm if they cant get a vein, then you kinda feel it go up ure arm, then within about 5 seconds, ure asleep, its a nice feeling when your falling in to the sleep, just really relaxed, and then you wake up and you think you havent even been operated on, lol!! its over veryquick so try not to worry, xxx

Sophia i was terrified of the ga, the thought of not waking up again!! I tell you what hun, it was the best part of the day! They injected the anaesthetic thru my arm but put a mask over my face and told me to drift away, it was absolutely lovely, I was out exactly 1 hr 15 mins which seems to be the same for most of us. Felt lovely and dreamy when I woke up. Honestly hun, you’ll be well looked after xxx

I have been scared of anasthsia ever since i can remember my whole life. It took me seconds to go to sleep. When i woke up it felt like the shortest sweetest nap ever. I think i had a dream i cant clearly remember. I woke up with no side effect no nothing. Was breathing normally and was not cold at all. I just kept telling the nurse i loved her.. Haha.. I look back now and think i was so pleased i had boobs plus i dont even know i was just so happy it was over. You will be fine hun.. I cried almost everyday days before my ba because i was scared. I’m telling you hun, walking home, taking a shower or driving have higher risks than GA. You will be fine love.
