I have just had a phone call from my doctor saying that my T4 (Thyroid)levels are slightly high, they have been the same for 5 years and now 2 days before my surgery they are high! I phoned the nurse Vicky at the London clinic and she has said that I need a letter from my doctor saying that I am fit for surgery and a copy of my results. My 7 years of waiting for this Operation is cracking before me. I have everything ready-I stopped the pill, I’ve not drank for a week, I’ve got my kids looked after, brought loads of stuff and now this.. I am waiting for my doctor to call me to see if she will write me a letter but ultimately its the anesthesist’s decision. I just know that its gonna be a no. The trouble is- is that I work in a school and I have waited all this time so that I can have the recovery during my holiday..I cant believe it. I’m gutted, I’m in tears. Anyone else had this problem? It makes me feel like I should’ve just lied and gone through with the surgery-I wish I could take it back.
