    I have just had a phone call from my doctor saying that my T4 (Thyroid)levels are slightly high, they have been the same for 5 years and now 2 days before my surgery they are high! I phoned the nurse Vicky at the London clinic and she has said that I need a letter from my doctor saying that I am fit for surgery and a copy of my results. My 7 years of waiting for this Operation is cracking before me. I have everything ready-I stopped the pill, I’ve not drank for a week, I’ve got my kids looked after, brought loads of stuff and now this.. I am waiting for my doctor to call me to see if she will write me a letter but ultimately its the anesthesist’s decision. I just know that its gonna be a no. The trouble is- is that I work in a school and I have waited all this time so that I can have the recovery during my holiday..I cant believe it. I’m gutted, I’m in tears. Anyone else had this problem? It makes me feel like I should’ve just lied and gone through with the surgery-I wish I could take it back.

    mandy i had this problem with my ecg coz i have a minor abnormality in my heart and i got a copy from dr of my last ecg and faxed it over and the anesthesist said its fine but its horrible waitin but try coz it might be ok huni mine was xxx good luck xxx
