GIRLS PLEASE HELP! Few questions to ask

Heya girls, 3rd forum.. maybe soon I’ll stop asking questions lol!
1. Does anyone use sunbeds? How quickly did you use them after if so, I’m 3 weeks po and getting pale! Obvs I’ll cover my boobs.
2. When can I start putting bio oil on my scars?
3. When they start dropping will they go bigger/ closer together? Also what does drop and fluff mean.

This is just a friendly reminder of your MYA post-op advise.

It is strongly advised that you do not use perfumed products, make-up or oils on your incisions until fully healed and even after this to approach with caution. It is advised to protect the incisions from sunlight (including sunbed) following surgery using >35 SPF for up to a year or by covering your wounds completely.

@myamoderator so does this mean I can go on the sunbeds as long as my incisions are completely covered? And also what about gym/ dance etc. Am I able to do light exercise after 6 weeks? Thanks xxx

Hello Jessica,

Sunbeds are not advised until after scars are fully healed. Check your scars are fully healed with your nurse at your 6 week post op appointment.

You may start to attend the gym around 6 weeks post-operative after your nurse review. This includes heavy lifting (such as children). It is strongly advised that you start as a beginner again and with caution so not to cause adverse effects. If you feel unusual or uncomfortable please stop and discuss this with your surgeon. You are not able to swim for at least 6 weeks after surgery or until your wounds are healed as this could cause an infection.
