GIRLS THAT SMOKE AND HAD BA…

Right this sounds stupid but owell you girls r understanding .. My mum and dad r cumin with me to my BA, they are very anti smoking and yes I’m the odd one out who does! .. They don’t know this thou!! Ovz I have in my folder that I do smoke and i don’t want the grief off my mum and dad.. Will the sergeon or nurse or ANYONE at the hospital ask me if iv stopped smoking or anything about me smoking infront of my mum and dad? Pllleeaaseee hellp, op is in one week and this is making me dread my op xxx

At the hospital they will ask you hun if u smoke and if so how many xxx

yes i was asked at consultation and told them yes, ment to give up 2 weeks before but sadly i couldnt do it, wasnt asked on day of surgery though…x

I’ve been to 2 consultations.. My first one over a year ago, and my parents didnt want me getting it done so took things no further.. I told them then that i smoked… (My mum didnt know then) an then i went before Xmas for my 2nd but kinda 1st again if u get what i mean, an my pc said have u given up smoking…. I’d advise u to ring ur pc hun an just warn her u dont want anything said to be on the safe side! xx

shell has a good point ring your pc and tell her, im sure they can add it in your notes or something….x

Anethetist (sp?) came to see me just before my opp and asked me if I smoked…

If you concerned I would phone hospital in advance and ask them to make sure they don’t ask you this infront of your parents.. good luck! x

I have told her and she said there is nothing she can do about it. Will they ask me infront of my mum and dad dya no?xx

I got asked by my surgeon on the day..but that’s only because he asked if I smoked

On my consultation and I said yes but I’m giving up &

He asked If i had stuck by it .. But otherwise I don’t think anyone would have asked jus let your PC no xxx

Iv let my pc know and she said there isn’t anything she can do about it ! .. I think I might ring the hospital.. Anyone got there number?xx

amanda the anesteistist asked me he comes to visit you in your room before the surgeon, and he needs to know this info. i think your best to just bite the bullet. or just hope they come see you when ur mum and dad has gone for a coffee!!

you could meaningfully leave something in the car ‘by accident’ and then when the nurse tells you the anesthetist will be in soon, tell em you need this item from the car so they can nip out!! bless you i was mortified to tell my mum and dad and i lasted til i was 25 (started smoking at 18) it will come out one day just tell them!

and you know wot they may not take it that bad! xxx
