Girls……..We can help a brilliant charity, thanks to our new boobies!!! :)

So, I am sat here stocked up with magazines to help me through the boredom of recovery!!

I’ve just come across a brilliant article explaining all about a ‘bra appeal’ which is being fronted by Bianca Gascoigne. The organisation is called Bra Bank. They explain that whilst old/unused bras sitting in our drawers may seem useless to us, there are women on the other side of the world, in deprived countries that can greatly benefit from them.

The charity wants to collect as many bras as possible to take to Africa, where they will be distributed in remote villages in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Many women there are labourers. They are plagued by constant neck, back and chest problems as they cannot afford to support their breasts properly. Every penny they earn goes towards keeping a roof over their heads and feeding their families, and bras are a luxury they just cannot afford.

I dont know about you girls, but thanks to my new additions, I have 2 drawers filled with bras that are no good to me anymore! So I am going to do my little bit and send them to the bra bank.

Great idea, thanks for posting. Do you think they will want bikini tops also or just bras? Not sure how useful my tiny ones will be but they are more than welcome to have them.

And do you know why the deadline is june 28th? I’m not due until july 27th and want to keep one to compare xx

The deadline of 28th is for bras being sent to Thats Life magazine. You can also log onto bracollect.co.uk which has a list of drop off points where you can take unwanted bras, or an alternative address to send them too.

Fantastic idea! I have a bra draw that will be looking very empty. Glad I can give them to a good cause xx
