Oh gosh that doesn’t sound good :(

I haven’t had my op yet but know people who have, and it does take a while for the boobs to soften and settle into their new position.. Perhaps 5-6 weeks? I’m sure once they’ve ‘dropped and fluffed’ you’ll be extremely pleased with your new friends. At least I hope so! Good luck!

I’m 7 weeks post op and after about 3/4 weeks or so I stopped giving myself a hard time about the sports bra. M&S do really good supporting bra’s without wires underneath. So long as you are a) comfortable and b) well supported in your bra, i’m sure it matters neither here nor there if you wear a sports bra xx

Sandy i was told to wear my sports bra 24/7 for 6 weeks… Im 3 week post op, and since about a week and a half i’ve not worn a sports bra. Just been wearing tight lycra vests that support me much more than the sports bra’s did, AND i can wear normal clothes and not have to worry about my sports bra making my boobs look a funny shape under tighter clothes. I’ve moisturised my boobs morning and night with cocoa butter and they are as soft now as they were pre opp! They are a little firm in the morning but once i butter them up they are soft then for the the rest of the day.

They’ve dropped almost as far as i think they will, look and feel so natural its unbelievable. I also have been wearing looser tops and just let my boobs “hang” so to speak even in bed… Been sleeping on my side and on my front since 2 weeks and i think if i had been bound in my uncomfy bra i wouldnt have even tried to sleep on my stomach!

I was told there is no medical proof that not wearing a sports bra had a detrimental effect on the final look of your boobs, the only reason they advise it is cos its non underwired and its easier than them listing which types of bra’s you can and cant wear (think of how many styles of bra’s there are!) Like school uniform! LoL Can i wear dark jeans, can i wear dark joggers, can i wear dark leggings: NO You wear school trousers! Easier to be generic than to single out all the good bra’s to wear and all the bad ones.

Keep them moistured too if you’re feeling they are sensitive… On the weekend i didnt shower till late afternoon and i felt my boobs were quite sensitive/had that sunburn feel people talk about… Its been the only day i hadnt moisturised them forst thing when i got up. As soon as i cocoa’d them up they were fine x

If you use Palmers Coco Butter dont use the lotion… use the butter in the little tub that is solid but almost melts on your skin cos it soaks in much better and lasts longer than the lotion that seems to absorb quite quickly :-) x

    Happy healing Hunnie x

Wow thanks missmk,I’m just in bed now and glad I read ur post b4 I shut my eyes! I’ve wore my spirts bra to bed everynight until nw. Uve just gave me the confidence to take it off 2night lol. I really am desperite for them 2 drop and soften even just a little. Its still very uncomfy! Also I agree with u on the coco butter I use the little tub 2! :). Wot size did u go to and from hun?. Also thanks girls I’m headin 2 primark at the weekend for some of those tops! Cheers 4 ur answers guys Xxx

Take it off! Woo hoo! LoL

    I went from 32/34A/B to 34D/DD with 310 soft touch inspira’s x

For the time i wore the sports bra the stayed so high and as soon as i set them free so to speak they have dropped so much in a week and a half! They will probably drop a tiny bit more but i dont think they come any closer together as they are about the same distance apart now as they were pre op x Im so happy with my results! :-) x

Have a good nights sleep :-) I know some girls think sleeping on their side or especially sleeping on their front, will cause their boobs to flatten but if that were logical then anyone who wanted to lose weight from their bum or stomach would find they could just from sleeping on their backs or front… makes no sense! x
