Hi girls!

Really worried what the pains like after having overs? Please can u give your honest feedback!

Ive had 3 kids..and wondered if its the same as when the milk comes in? or worse?!

Hi,

I’m 5 days post-op from 525 overs, and i dont want to tempt fate, but so far the pain has been very minimal.

I took paracetamol and codeine 4 times a day for the first day and a half, as well as a couple of diclofenac anti-inflammatories. Since the second half of day two, i have only been taking the diclofenac.

I do have some mild pain under the right boob, at the incision site. and i occaionally get it under the left one as well – but it is definitely very bearable pain.

Everyone is different though, so its not possible to say how much pain you will have. Overs involve less trauma to the body because you are not cutting through muscle – muscle has a very good nerve supply ,so will give off more pain signals if damaged. The recovery with overs is therefore quicker than with unders.

I’ve not had any babies yet, so cant compare the pain to milking breasts!

Do they feel quite heavy on your chest? Thats another thing i’m dreading! As well as the GA and other things!!

i had overs 5 months ago and have to say pain what pain, im sure i was supposed to feel some but i didnt lol, i had tightness across my chest and that was it, i was in the pub 4 hours after my opp having food and out shopping the next day, i didnt even take any pain killers, i know everyone is diffrent, but i had a good experience xx

They do feel a bit heavy, but i think thats because they are still tight and swollen. Its also coz i’m not used to having bumps there!

I was scared about everything before my op. I’m still bloody scared of something going wrong now!.. But i’m so glad I did it.

Its normal to be anxious. But the vast majority of people have a good experience and love their new body much more than their original one…!

So I would say go for it xxxx

I had 380cc overs! I heard overs was less painful than unders. I dont think I was in that much pain at all considering! I expected worse. Pain-killers pretty much numb most of the pain/discomfort. Just felt heavy andf scars ached when I moved around too much. Its all bearable and totaly worth it. I was pretty much painfree after 7 days. Just dont try lifting anything too soon or do to much. I didnt pick up my daughter for 2 weeks. It difficult but is for the best xxx

Hey Hun I was the same as nikki, I had 310 overs and had no pain at all, I haven’t even had to take any of my painkillers at all and I’m 2 weeks PO tomorrow don’t be put off having them because of pain, it was the best thing I’ve ever done! Xxxx

@casmine.. I know, i really want them done! Really scared of the GA though!! Been looking into getting it done since last November, and now i’ve booked and its 4 weeks away, i’m getting really nervous!

I keep thinking that the easy option is to cancel!! 🙄

I had overs 4 weeks ago and didn’t have any pain at all, didn’t even feel the need to take my painkillers but I took th for the first 4 days anyway just incase xx

i hate to say this but i’ve had pain since day 2 its been the worst on day 4 dan this week(3weeks PO) i think my nerves are all knitting back together so i have had a week of nasty stabbing pains.

Unfortunately i think its down to the individual! sorry to be the barer of bad news xx

Don’t be scared Hun, it feels like you’ve just shut your eyes and then you open them and you have fabulous new boobies if you can have 3 children then you can definitely be brave enough to have a your boobs done! Xxx

I know u wanna know about overs but I had unders 2 weeks ago n haven’t had any pain, tightness, aching, pressure feeling but not pain. I found it very similar to when ur milk comes in the only difference is u can’t feed to take that pressure feeling away I gently rubbed oil in them n that helped. I took my muscle relaxant tablets but no pain killers.

Just thought I’d let u know, but as already said everyone is different. Xx

I had 410 overs it’s not bad at all hardly any pain Took my painkillers for 2 days but weren’t really needed they’re just tight and uncomfortable nothing else ud suffer more with a headache from a hangover lol xx p.s I’ve had 2 kids xx

I heard overs are meant to be less painful too, but just to let you know I had unders and have not had any pain – so if unders are suposed to hurt much more, then I guess overs feel like minus pain? haha x x
