Well I’m a month post op now and my skin on my chest is quite frankly, HORRID
Its come out in spots everywhere. Did anyone else have this problem and did it go by itself? Ive never had a spotty chest before so it’s really getting me down. Also the skin is peeling off my boobs too, I’m assuming that is because it’s been stretched and then relaxed but the top layer of skin is dead now.
Feeling really disgusting girls. Any tips or advice? xx
I had really itchy peely skin on my chest/neck not my actual boobs I also had the same on my right arm which was a bit random but it should go mine did after a week or so. I tried e45 on it & that didn’t work so I put bio oil on it & that cleared it up.
If your moisturising your boobs honey try and avoid the area where the spots are, the moisturiser could aggravate them try a little sudacrem on the spots, and use some bio oil on your breasts avoiding the scars of course, always check with your nurse honey as what works for one may not work for another, and she may not want you to start using anything until you have seen your surgeon, we don’t want you to do any damage, xxx
Thanks guys. I was using cocoa butter but I stopped as I just didn’t want to aggravate them. Think I might carefully try and wash my chest with some antibacterial soap twice a day(being careful not to get my incisions wet of course)
@missparkerclarke, I had dry skin all the way up my left arm afterwards to, the only conclusion I can come to is that it was the arm I had my canulars in(I had 2 for some reason) Maybe its something to do with it being the arm the GA was injected in?! Mines gone now though. Just want my chest to clear up otherwise I’m not gonna want to show these puppies off once I get the all clear from the nurse in 2 weeks
xx
It’s because you are moisturising them all the time, the skin there isnt used to it. I got this when I had a tattoo because I had to keep it moisturised, and it was covered in spots within days. Just lay off it for a few days then just do it maybe every other day, you should see an improvement soon
xx
I agree with the comments about not putting too much on your skin, as mine started to go I just used a bit of bio oil on it but yes other stuff might aggravate it even more, I found the E45 cream didnt help one bit just made it worse and that stuff is designed for bad skin!
My skin felt like when you have sunburn, it didnt feel sore just really tight, dry and itchy.
Weirdly it was my arm that I didnt have my drip in!? Mad!
i think it might be the antibacterial stuff they rub on you before they operate,i had an op on my face and came up all spotty just on the one side where they operated x
I’m the exact same, had my BA 3 weeks ago tomorrow and my chest and back are a mess, like little white heads and some of them are just red. Wonder what it could be, I’ve been gently trying to exfoliate them and the pharmacist gave me an antihistamine and some cream…hopefully that works xxx
