Is/has anyone else giving or has given up smoking for their new boobies? I saw Mr Russo yesterday and he said no smoking 2 weeks pre and post op, so I thought might as well stop now, and if I’m a non smoker after I’ve had them done I’ll have more money to spend on new clothes and bras :D

But all I can think of is fag fag fag fag!!

Is there anyone else in the same position as me or has been? + Does smoking/not smoking really affect the healing process? xx

I’ve got to give up for my procedure. I’m giving myself another week…. then I should have about 6 week before my op :)

It’s so hard giving up my ops in a month so I’ve got 2 weeks left to smoke but I thought might as well quit now so I’m not stressed around surgery time xc

I was advised to stop by both my surgeon and my nurse – if u can cut down or stop fantastic, i just found it very difficult…. but thankfully i had no probs at all :)

I think its persoanlly down to you xxx i was scared as i did not stop – in fact as soon as i came round from the anaethetic i went for a cig and went a very off white colour (which is quite funny cause I’m Indian) and felt faint.. nurses to the rescue lol x

Yeah I got told by my surgeon, Mr Falladhar, that I would need to be completely nicotine free 4 weeks before the op or he will not operate on me. I’m having an uplift and he said that my nipples would fall off if I continued to smoke!! LOL!!

    So i’m definitely giving up.

I have smoked through small ops and never had a problem with the healing..I just don’t want to risk it though.

Have you tried nicotine lozengers? Normal size or the mini ones? I’ve found that they help a lot when cutting down. They keep your mouth busy!! :)

I’m starting to use them to cut down with… maybe give them a try.

OR Paul McKenna book with hypnosis CD…. Its weird but it kind of works.

Hope it all goes well, feel free to add me if you need support through this!! Cause i’ll be doing it too soon :)
