Glasgow clinic closing!

Just got letter tht Glasgow is closing :|meeting surgeon in 2 weeks and paying for ba. Go ahead or go else where. Helppp

Whaaaattttt???? It’s not even been open that long! And I never got a letter :S Where did you hear about it? I would suggest you just go straight through BMI which is a private hospital group and MYA used BMI Ross Hall anyway and there wasn’t much in the price I’ll get a web link for you x

i got my letter this morning. was all excited aswel now am having doubts wht to do. it closes end of april and after care will still be carried out in glasgow thn if anything after tht u will be transfered to Newcastle. Bexepie i will go on site and have a look thank u x

Im 14 months post op so it’s not as big an issue for me but it would still of been nice to know and my cousins having her surgery on the 10th too :S so I have no idea what’ll be happening with her if the closure is really happening

I know I remember you getting yours booked too and they look crackin’ now, even better than they looked right after you got them done! And I thought they looked amazing back then! And believe me i’m not just saying that, they are bangin’!

I’m totally shocked that the glasgow clinic is closing.. I’ve got another consultation on the 28th April with Mr Chew – why didn’t they mention it? Or why would they even offer me a consultation for then if it’s closing!!! I’m gutted ‘( don’t no what I’ll do now! X

I know am the same I was gmg over to pay for mines on the 11th ans hoping to go in asap. Not now think I might go see transform. Anyone know anyone thats been to them? Xxx

Which surgeon did you want to book with? I’m wondering if there’s any way of still getting the surgeons we want without MYA – they may still do private work without the advertising of MYA. Xx

In the 5th post on this thread Iv given you’s a link for the private hospital group BMI which is the hospital MYA use for their operations in Scotland anyway. Both Ben Chew and Andrew Hart work for BMI so you could probably get one of them to do your op anyway by going straight through BMI, also BMI cost roughly the same as MYA when I last checked prices. MYA has your op done in Ross Hall BMI hospital in Glasgow, but you can go straight to BMI rather than through MYA first.

excellent service and never seen bad review. Think a bad move for Mya not to have clinic in Scotland.

Think all post op patient should get a letter advising of closure and what to do if any issues during the aftercare period.

Good luck to Karen and team where ever they go to though and we all apreciate all your hard work X

I’ve just spoken to BMI and they charge £90 for a consultation and the surgery is £4100. She didnt no what implants are used.. Or whether you can go in as a day case! Budgeted my limit at £3800 and I’m scrapping every penny to be able to afford it.. MYA offered me that price so feeling totally scammed as that will be £400 for the exact same thing! Xx
