God I feel like crying!!!!…

Why is it when you think everything’s sorted it’s not! Surgery is booked and paid for, i’v got my time off from work booked. My boyfriend asked his boss for a week off to be there for the op and to help after.. He said yeah it’s fine.. Now just been told that his boss has told him he hasn’t signed it off and isn’t promising him the time off now and doesn’t know of he’s going to give him time off.. Meaning there’s a great possibility of me going trough it all in my own! …. ‘( I hate the military!!

I asked my sister today to take a couple days off work to help out and I’d even pay her and she said no! I no I got till June but so worried about doing it all alone!

Girls who have been through it and had no help after at home how did u cope what should I do??? Xxx

I had my sister with me for a few days but if I’m being honest I reckon I coulda coped alone, it’s not as bad as everyone makes out but then everyone’s pain threshold is different! As long as someone pops round to u to make u dinner and help out abit u should be more than fine! I know quite a few girls who have gone to the hospital alone too and they were fine on their own! You till have a while to sort something so don’t panic lol x x

I’m booked in for june too, i’ve got a friend coming up with me for the operation but i’ll be looking after myself for most of the week xx

Thanks girls, i no I’m prob over reacting but it’s just worried me loads thinking someone will be there just incase to then thinking what if I can’t do something!

I’m in 12th June at highgate .. I have a great mate who said she will book the op off if I need her to. Least that way I have a hand to hold before I go down!

@blaire1991 it’s so horrible thinking your in your own isn’t it! My family know but not to close to my mum and dad anymore and dont think they care.. Thought I could count on my sister (obviously not) why don’t u tell them? Will they disagree? Whens your op Hun?

im going though it myself lolm just turned 18 and going to stirling from glasgow on my own and spending the night myself – wont see anyone i know for a full day ! im shitting myself now, who’s to calm me down before the op lol?xxx

I have told all my mums side my dads side will just turn there nose up so I would rather just not tell them and tell them once I have it done plus they worry sooo much too lol, yeah it is horrible but were all here for ya huni ! I have been booked for my op on the 30th aug I didn’t think I would have the money by then but looking rly good and mite be able to bring it forward a few weeks Yaay !!! So excited thou ! hi emz1991,my admission time is 10am and ops at 5. i know! my mums mums hating the fact im getting this done, shes working and cant come with me anyway and my 2 sisters are in skl and in uni so they cant come – they have exams… and only one of my friends know about the op and shes in college – keeping it a secret so only a couple people know – so it leaves me with no one ! xx

Hey my bf was only aloud to take the day of my op off, luckily which was Friday, so He had tge weekend at home, but He went back to work wen I was 3days po and I had 2 young kids to look after I Got along fine really. Even when He was at home I was doing things, I walked into town to do sum shopping morning after my op. I’m sure ul b ok just take it really easy if u can’t find any help xx

I am also going through it by myself. When I told my mum I was actually thinking about having it done, she started panicking and started going on and on about it. Then I told her she had 2 options: I could tell her before or after the op. She went quiet.. so definitely telling her after. I travel a lot for work so I can tell her I will be away … and then just tell her after! (we are practically neighbours).

As long as we plan in advance and leave things around the house in order and easy reach we should be fine. And of course, leave the computer on so we can have the support on here! xxx

my mum & bf were at work so i had to doit on my own & with my chihuahua.. & to be honest it wasnt hard! coz ur not gona be doin anything strenuous just relaxing, walk about abit to keep circulation good etc & eat easy meals, just make sure everything is in reach coz i had a hard time tryin to get a saucepan out of the cupbord lol. sounds mean wen people wer home they just did my head in and i wanted to be on my own lol! the medication made me moody i think. also ask mates if they wil pop round! x

Ok Im feeling better now! Aysha I have chihuahuas lucky There easy to look after! I think I just panicked as I ha everything sorted then all of a sudden everything got messed up! Thanks for the tips everyone! Defo going to be going on walks when I’m alright don’t want to put all this weight back on!

My boyfriends also in the military, I hate it too he’s been asking for 1weeks leave for my op next week for 3weeks now and they’ve been messing him around not giving him a straight answer, but luckily they’ve let him book the leave today I’m sure it will be fine sure they will let him book in off they just like too mess you around first! Xx

It’s crap and apparently his sargent said it’s harder for us as we ain’t married! That shouldn’t matter I still need him lol, thing that annoyed me is I didn’t book it untill there was conformation they said yes you can have a week off just rung us the dates and we will sign it off for you .. So then I booked it and paid for it gave them the proof everything was fine then they changed their minds and wasn’t signin it off for him, one thing i’v learnt over the years is the military are shocking so unorganised! Always seem to mess up my plans! Grrr lol glad it worked out for you hun, hopefully that happens for me! Xx

Exactly same as they said to my bf.. Apparently I can’t be his ‘next of kin’ because we are not married .. Even though we are engaged and live together.. Yeah they did the same to us said yeah will be find just need proof so I gave them a letter and then they started messing us about, they are very unorganized they get on my nerves!!lol well they’ve let him book it off but he’s had to take the days out of his holidays, because were not married.. So maybe he could do that? Xx

Yeah he said that he’s owed holiday still and has his summer leave coming so could he take a week off early and they said no promises .. He has no idea when he’s getting summer leave this year because all this stuff with the Olympics! But that’s over a month after my op so can’t see why one weeks a problem, it is horrible how they work things out! What size you having chick? Xx
