    Hi girls!
I’m just wondering how long it was before you all went back to work?

but also how long it was till you stopped being in as much pain and returned to life as normal?

and when you could move about freely again?

I work as a teacher in a reception class so my job is very active and very physical and hands on.
I am hoping to have my op as close to the start of a 2 week half term in hopes of giving myself at least a week and a half bed rest before returning to work, however as a teacher you absolutely cannot take holidays outside of holiday hours so it’s worrying me a little.
I’m on my feet all day and bending up and down all day. I can hopefully avoid lifting any of them by just being down at thier level and hoping none of them manage to badly injure themselves (which i hope doesn’t happen anyway).
and I’ll put off any display work and classroom rearrangement until I’m feeling 100%

but I’m just wondering when you start moving freely and being up and about properly without pain?
I will also have to take PE lessons etc and do daily action rhymes etc…

I know everybody recovers differently but just hoping to hear abut your experiences and recovery!
    thank you!

I’m wondering this too. I’m a makeup artist and doing a shoot 8 days after having BA and I’m having partials which I know can take longer to recover from… Doing the makeups I’m not overly concerned about although it will mean holding my arms up for a certain amount of time. But I am concerned with pulling my kit around and lugging it in and out of my car…think I will have to get my husband to drop me off and pick me up so he can do the lifting for me. It will be a full days work so I hope I’m up for it as I can’t let people down
What does everyone think? I want to be able to move as normal as I can so no one guesses why I’m moving about funny.
Vanessa, what placement are you having? Hopefully you will be fine as long as your more cautious and take it steady, when’s your op?
    Xx

I’m a mobile hairdresser and beautician I’m taking 12 days totally off then back to work for 2 full days avoiding heavy lifting then taking 4 days off then back to work as normal. I’m self employed and can sometimes wrk 12hours a day normally 4 days aweek so I am going to try n take it as easy as pos. don’t want to be set back if I over do it. Alex I’m going for 1 of those running bras tomorrow. From marksys.:-) xx

I went back on Monday 16 days post op. I have 2 very physical jobs one working with a child with behavioural difficulties and my other is cleaning in a secondary school where I buff floors all night. I found it ok just had to adapt techniques and have a fab work colleague who has helped me and took over my floor buffing.
