going back to work

How soon after operation can I go back to hairdressing?xxx

i went bk to work on day 3 but im not a hairdresser! sorry xx

Hmmm dunno Hun, im 4 days PO and struggling to lift my arms xx

I’m having 2 weeks off work on the sick… as long as you have a sicknote you can go on sick…… I know that dont answer ur Q so sorry for waffling xx

I could lift my arms at about day 8/9 im 2 weeks post op today and im back to work tomorro im a care assistant so im sure youll be fine hairdressing xxx

It was day 3 I could lift them half way then day 5 all the way but tried not to till I was wk/wk un half po! Can’t drive for a wk – 10 days, as long as u feel u can safely do an emergency stop! X

Humm, I’ve just started a new job and only requested three days (Op day, Thurs, Frid then SAT and SUN I have off anyway) so five days in total. Hmmm. I think I’m gonna need more off!

ummmm took me 2 weeks -week 3 have only just been able to lift my arms over my head.. all different I guess!

I had my op last Monday and I still struggle to completely lift my arms above my head (I can do it but it really pulls) – there’s no way I’d wanna be lifting something like a hairdryer and moving my arms about all day like a hairdresser would.

But… everyone is different and EVERY day there’s an improvement in what I feel comfortable doing.

Youll defo need more than 5 days off hun im worried about goin back tomoro and im 2 weeks po.. I thought id be ok before i had my op and then reality hit me as soon as i came back from surgery lol xxx sorry xxx

i was back driving at day 11 and id say get 2 weeks off work if u can, lifting your arms is hard enough as it is never mind alot of movement in cutting peoples hair. i dnt think i was fully confident in lifting them right over my head until like 4 weeks po lol xx
