How soon before? I don’t really understand the rules of all this because some surgeons suggest not to wear a bra at all for six weeks and some say all the time day and night….

I’m sure one night out won’t hurt xx

My surgeon said he doesnt recommend wearing a bra at all, yet the nurses said that i should make sure i wear a bra day and night for 6 weeks, at the moment im 5 days post op and ill wear the bra to bed but not much during the day x

I’m 5 weeks post op and have worn my bra constantly…just started wearing a normal bra this week though for a few hours here and there if i go out! Like suzy says every surgeon seems to have different views on wearing the sports bra immediately post op – mine said to wear one so i have! If its just for the odd night out i’m sure you will be fine without a bra xx

They all say different… yet again!!

I asked the nurse if I could wear my bikini at the spa and on a night out 3 weeks post op and she said fine.

She told me to wear it all the time, the surgeon hasnt told me anything so I hope shes right xx

you know what, i tried a gorgeous dress on yesterday without a bra and i felt paranoid :( I’m at a party next week and thought i would be able to wear what i wanted and feel great in it – maybe its the first proper outing since my op and i feel like everyone will be looking lol xx

Yeah it’s normal to be paranoid about them! All of those years spent worrying and trying to hide them or make them bigger and now it’s a big change to have everyone looking! Just drink lots of vodka, that normally helps ;) xx
