Going to see another surgeon/clinic in regards to uplift

Hi all,

I have only seen one surgeon who said I needed a full uplift as well as implants, however after seeing a few before/after pics of women very similar to me (empty droopy skin for boobs!) that have only had implants as opposed to an uplift I want to find out if I really do need a lift at all.

I dont have pics as yet…may put some on later…but basically I am a small, empty 30C. I have sagged due to breastfeeding and losing weight, but my nipples are still quite high and point forwards rather than downwards. It is the top part of my breasts that I hate, they are wrinkly and flat. I basically just need an extra opinion or two from other surgeons.

Would love to speak to others who were or are in a similar position and if you have pics to share/advice to give that would be awesome.

hi hun, i only saw mr singh who suggested an uplift then later on implants but after a lot of thought i decided against it, i went back to see him and he’s just giving me large implants. my nipple is low but im hoping they’ll lift slightly. its mainly the emptiness that bothers me, i know they’ll sag even more in the future but il think about an uplift then. my op is friday so il upload some pics sat when im home xx

I have the same problem and am only getting implants. Getting 525 overs to fill them out and give volume. My nipples also point out and was told I wouldn’t need uplift. My surgeon told me to put my hands on my head and this would tell him where my nipples would roughly end up after surgery xx

What surgeon are you having ashbash? See mine are saggy but thats because they are empty if you know what I mean? I am sure implants would help to make them appear fuller and firmer. I really do not want a full uplift unless absolutely necessary. Will defo get a second opinion. Thank you ashbash. xx

hey gnasher i have emptyish 34 c and doc told me uplift is not necessary, not that im an expert but im pretty sure there are a few factors as to when you would need one, is your nipple stil in good position? ie facing forward not down also how much do your boobs hang, apparently a large implant will fill out loose skin but you will always have a droop which is what i will have, its actually what i want as i hate the stuck on look, hope this helps xx

Hi vroobles, yeah my nipples still point forwards rather than downwards. My boobs are not in a bad position, but it is just empty skin that needs alot of filling out! When I bend over they do hang. It’s just a pile of excess skin. I really need to get pics on as it’s so hard trying to explain! Will try and get some on tonight. x

Mr Chew at Glasgow. He is good and I felt really at ease with him, but I cant shake this feeling that I may be advised something different by another surgeon. I am happy to go ahead with Mr Chew if it turns out a full lift is defo on the cards, but I will feel much better getting a few more professional opinions first. x

Hey girls I saw mr c and mario and both said I would need lift and implants. Mr c was willing to do implant of 600cc without lift but mario said no way as they would be like saggy balloons lol so I’ve got to go for lift and much smaller implant 340cc! Gutted as I’m 26 and didn’t think I’d need it at my age but after losing 3stone and going from full dd to empty b/c I do xx

Hi, I’m not sure if i’m really allowed on this forum as I had my surgery done elsewhere, but I’ve been lurking for ages cause this is such a great site.

Anyway I’m 9 days post full uplift with implants, I was a very deflated 36C when I squashed everything into a bra :)I researched for two years prices/surgeons just implants implants and uplift and just uplift.

After various consultations and trawling through before and after pictures, it became very clear sadly that if i just went with implants I would have bigger but still saggy boobs, if i went with just uplift I would have firmer but small boobs.

I wanted to be a full C ?D with a natural look.

So in the end I went with 220cc moderate profile unders with a full uplift (ie moving nipple)

I was so scared of the scarring, but I knew that i could handle the scars more than the sagginess.

And I have to say 9 days on I’m sooooooooo happy with the result so far, my boobs are such a nice shape …i feel like i’m 18 again …the scars are already healing nicely.

I am going to take some pics in a few days and I’ll put some before and afters on so u’ll be able to see what the scars are like early on.

Let me know if you’d like to know anything else, I feel like a semi-expert on the procedure I’ve been researching it so long Maxine x

I seen Ben chew at Glasgow. Mine are also saggy and empty due to breastfeeding but he said implant will give me the fullness I’m after but will not lift them dramatically xx

Yeh no problem! I’m the same, nice to chat with people having to decide whether to go for uplift aswel! It’s just the fact of getting all that money together that’s putting me off but I deff need it done! Hate them even more after being told I need lift aswel! Xx

Hi Maxine is it ok if I can add you too I’m having a lift and ba in 3 wks time! I’m a 34d with probably 260cc low profiles. Would love to see your pics when you get some on!! How r u finding the recovery and pain etc!! Xx

Sure thats fine …just tried to take some photo’s now and the battery needs charging! doh! will defo put some on in next couple of days.

I had brufen and paracetemol on day one and two paracetemol on day three and four and then I haven’t needed anything else after that.

Tbh I’ve had more pain after some exercise sessions

It’s kinda sore around the incision sites now but it really isn’t bad. Maxine x

ok i put photo’s on now (my camera let me take one photo before it died) …remember i’m only 9 days post op and the right nipple looks a bit skew in the photo, but it looks fine in the mirror maybe its a wierd angle x

i guess its all about personal preference, for me i came to the decision that i would be happier with the fullness although i know they’ll be saggy rather than the scars and there was no way i could of recovered properly having 4 young children 1 being 4 months old. so this was what i chose and im preying im happy but will only have myself to blame. i wanted to have large boobs also and was told i couldnt if i had full uplift. so whatever you decide good luck xx

To gnasher, just incase it helps, I am having an partial nipple uplift and implants this thursday, again hope i can post here as not going with the surgeon i went to for consultation here but I feel we are all in the same boat and need the same support!..I went for other consultations including here but all said as my boobs were slightly saggy from breast feeding and one was slightly higher then the other then even when adding different sized implants to try and even them out, it would not guarantee them to be the same size, so i thought what is the point! and i would have to have very big implants to try and lift/fill them out, again no guarantee they will still be droppy.

So I am having a partial nipple lift and implants, this involves them only cutting around half the nipple, no scars anywhere else and they lift the nipple up higher. my surgeon will also put my implant in through the nipple so i will have no scar underneath..and apparently the scar fades to virtually nothing around the nipple, if there is any slight form of scar they can do nipple tattoing covering the scar completely

omg that does sound really good, i wish i was given a few more options. to be honest ive not been given no info about anything from mya ive had to do all my own research and go in and ask about things, dont even know what implants im getting even though ive asked 3 times. good luck thursday natashala. xx
