Got a post op infection :(

Had my first post op nurse visit today and I have an infection on the point the 2 sides join the middle of the bottom incision. Seems the skin is dying. Nurse is keeping an eye on it week by week, slightly scared now

Don’t worry, as long as the nurse is keeping an eye on you everything should be fine. Any idea how it happened? Try and keep positive xx

Just one of those things I think. I have psoriasis so have odd skin anyway lol

Stay positive honey,I know its easy for me to say,as I don’t have an infection,the main thing is it has been spotted immediately and you are getting the care and attention you need to help you get better massive hugs,xxx

This is one of my worries on top of others! Do you not get given antibiotics as precaution? Hope everything works out hun, and im sure it wil now its been spotted xx
