So, got my admission time of 3pm on Wednesday! What time am I likely to get out on an average? What clothing am I best to travel in? I’m getting nervous now!! Is my chaperone allowed with me all day in my room barring the operation itself? I’m starting to worry now and not feel prepared! Help me haga!xx

Hi Nikki my check in time was 2pm I went down for my op at 6pm and got let out at 11pm. I had to stay in a bit later because my blood pressure was low. I travelled in my Lipsy tracksuit as it is comfy and easy to get on and off. My sister came with me and she was allowed to come to my room once they had done initial checks and I was in my gown and socks. When I went down to the operating theatre she had to sit in another room and when I was back from recovery they brought her back to my room and she was with me until I was let out.
I took a travel pillow with me which I put round my waist on the way home and this made it more comfortable when the car went over bumps etc.
Hope everything goes ok for you. X
