I’ve had trouble with my right breast since the start, with some fluid and swelling recurring. I had to have it drained, and after that i got a couple of lumps in there (think calcification?). That breast is now smaller and harder than the other and i can feel a harrd edge around the implant. I’m pretty sure this is contracture.
Well tonight I saw in the mirror that my left breast looked odd. There is visible rippling down the side
I am so disappointed it’s untrue.
I think rippling is covered isn’t it? Hopefully I will be able to have them replaced. But it means another op and yet MORE time out from exercising/ my horse/ work etc
I’ve kind of lost faith in calling/ seeing MYA, and thinking I might just go and see another company altogether to get it sorted, or maybe just a normal doctor.
Bless u newboobies. Sounds really frustratng. Call MYA get a appointment ASAP and get it sorted. It’s there problem so they need to sort it for you. Have faith! Xxx
Aww hun, sorry to hear that
. Although I have a feeling that rippling isn’t covered as you are told about the risks before hand. I had 380 and 410 overs and I was told that everyone gets rippling, you just cant always see it, so it may occur, especially as I still need to lose some weight! But this is why I didnt go for a bigger implant, because there is more chance of this happeneing. However, I still think it is important to give MYA a call. If there are other problems such as contracture, then that is defo covered. There maybe something they can do for you hun. Stay positive! And they look great to me! xxx
Do not go to gp as thos invalidates/ gives private companies a get out clause!
when I had a rash and feared it was a reaction to implants my gp wouldn’t touch me or even consider my boobs and tols me what I’ve said and that I had ro see my surgeon!
Don’t think rippling is covered its just one of those things!
Cc is though so see surgeon
Persobally id stick with mya as if u go to other companies mya may be harder to get a claim off and with anirher company u will have to pay more! As removing and replacing costs an extra grand or so
Oh Im sorry to hear this. I know you’ve had loads of problems and thought you had finally got things sorted. As fairy says cc is covered in the aftercare but rippling isn’t!! I can understand you’re losing faith in MYA but at the end of the days it’s probably one of those unfortunate things that maybe would’ve happened anyways. Could you not ring MYA and ask to see a different surgeon? You might feel more confident in what you are being told then. They should get you in really quickly. You must be gutted, as as you say, you don’t wanna be going through the whole op again.
Good Luck and let us know how you get on xx
awww hun!! defo get onto mya asap to get this sorted, uve spent money to as they say ‘make yourself amazing’ so they need to honour that!!
whats implanst did u have? cui, natrelle?? xx
I just had the standard CUI implants, under the muscle and 380cc as advised. I was told this was the perfect size (i wanted bigger) and would not result in rippling.
hi newboobies.. i hope everything gets sorteed for you, have you seen mr kazazzi yet?? xx
No, not since about 2 months ago. Haven’t spoken to nurse either. Sitting here now thinking about whether to ring them. I’m pretty sure it’ll just involve a long trip to the clinic, then a 2 hour drive up to doncaster, to be looked at for 5 mins and simply told to wait a bit longer
Good luck, speak to MYA x
hi newboobies can i add you ??
Hi Newboobies,
I am 11 days Post op now. I was a 34b, had 380 unders with Mr K. I have had problems with my right one, it feels much harder and more swollen than the left and the pain is not going. Notice it more at night
I am worried i am going to have problems too. I live 1.5hr hours away from the clinic and this week alone have racked up a nice congestion charge fine! I would like to see someone more regularly but i cant afford to keep travelling to London.
I am pretty worried tho that i could end up having the same problems as you
Chelle don’t worry too much hun, 11 days is very early in. You will get issues with swelling/ looking odd/ mishapen/ different sizes etc probably up until around 2 – 3 months. They can take up to 12 months to settle fully. If you’re still having problems at 3 months that’s the time to worry. I also read about you worrying yours were too big – I started with 32b as well and now measure 32ff, BUT I don’t think they look anything NEAR that. Barely even a D cup! I’m having another op to go bigger because these are too small lol.
On another note, the myamod contacted me, and my PC rang me tonight to air things out. I have an appointment with Dr. K on the 14th, but it still means a bloody long drive up to nottingham to see him. Going to ask about having bigger ones put in there and then if it turns out i have CC and need to have these ones replaced.
newboobies…Ur quite luvverly hun…all the worry u have had and are having and u still want to reassure other
Aww thanks hun
I’m not really worried tbh (perhaps i should be more so?). I am just tired of it all and want to be normal again.
Just seen your pics btw Chelle and they look absolutely normal. The shape, size, and swelling all looks fine x
Thanks newboobies and sorry to hijack ur thread. Thank you for the reassurance. Like Lisalu71 said, its nice you take time for others when ur worried urself. Your boobs do look great and I remember when I first came on here u were one of the ones I read about the most as like u said we started the same.
Good luck with Mr K huni and I hope u get urs sorted out ASAP and even get the bigger ones you want
Sorry ladies xx
Thank you Chelle, and you didn’t thread jack lol. My pics only go up to 3 months. Will have to post some more up this weekend. Thanks everyone for the thoughts xx
Glad you’ve got an appointment. Good luck, hope it all goes well for you xx
Good luck with your appointment,it will be worth the drive to get peace of mind honey, xxx
