Guys I know this gets asked loads but I’m having an awful time not being able to go gym!!! I literally keep eating cause I’m bored…. I know that’s a stupid excuse but I go gym 5 times a week so now I’ve got so much time on my hands…

    I’m three weeks PO

Can I go and walk on the treadmill
Can I go on a sitdown bike?
Can I do squats with no weights???
    Lunges?
Can I do any leg raises??? My belly is getting fat!

I know it’s something to do with blood pressure or something but these are just light exercise??

Hi sammii, I’m exactly the same. I’ve been walking about 6 miles a day just because I’m sick of not being able to go to the gym so I’ve ditched my car for the last two weeks haha! I’ve also been doing squats (probably shouldn’t I know) and I’m fine. Hopefully I don’t eat my words but I’m gonna be returning to the gym this week and just doing stair master, spinning bike, treadmill on incline etc. I’ve done nothing but eat for 2 weeks and I’m cracking up haha. Let me know if you go back how you get on! Xxx

I’m 3 weeks post op and went to the gym today for the first time.
I walked on the treadmill at an incline and did bodyweight squats, lunges etc. I felt fine. I didn’t go too hard though. I didn’t want to raise my heart rate to a crazy pace because they advise against it.

I think if your sensible with what you do in the gym then you should be fine.
