    Hey any of you girls go gym and lift weights? Heavy weights, deadlifts, squats with the bar etc how long after the op can you go back to heavy lifting? Xxx

    I’m a personal trainer and it’s killing me not being able to train im 2 days post op and couldn’t think of anything worse then lifting anything atm! I’m defo going to stick with 6 weeks til I lift anything xxx

    I’m the same! I have my 6 week check next week and I’m desperate to get back into the gym especially weight training. I wanted advice on what excersise people having been doing after their 6 week check xx

    I really don’t want to be out for ages and loose all my strength… 🙁 are you doing light cardio or anything? I hope at 6 weeks I can’t start lifting but I think they are going to say I can’t lift as heavy as what I normally do for a few months..xxx

    Was told 6 Wks even asked at three Wks of I cld do light cardio m was told no !! 3 Wks left n it’s killing me !!! I suppose it’s not forever ! N we don’t want to do any damage after spending all that money do we ladies

    I was told no excersise at all for 6 weeks. I’m now starting to feel it and desperate to get back into it. I shall update u when I have my last check up on Wednesday xxx

    I was told I can exercise and weight train after 4 weeks and I went back after 2 weeks just twice a week doing light cardio and training legs but body weight only if you squat with a smith machine put a bench in between your legs takes all the pressure away from your core just targets bum and quads then! I was fine doing that but I know my limits so I’m not gonna push anymore days just feels good to get moving again xx

    I am and after 6 weeks but ngl yiu lose so much strength it comes back though! Listen to the surgeon though xx

    I was told I could squat and lunge (no weights) after a week. I went for my 6 week check last Friday and said I could start the gym again but start off light and gradually build it up… Also no running for 3 months. I think everyone is different and I would always wait to see what your nurse say xx
