had my 1 week post op check today…

had my one week po check at manchester clinic this afternoon. the nurse took the plasters off and replaced them with steristrips, she said the scars are perfect and im healing really well yay! she was surprised that my boobs are softening up and starting to change shape already!

the nurse said mario doesnt like the stiches to be trimmed until 2 weeks post op though so ive gota go back next week again – annoying when its an hour there and then another hour back again!

hiya hun.. i had mario on monday… does he use dissolveable stitches or not? no one seems to no… ive got my 1 wk check on monday and was wondering what happens x

the nurse said they are dissolveable but they have to trim them up.

today she just took the plasters off and put steristrips on, she said theyve got to stay on till next week.

she said mario doesnt like you getting the scars wet for two weeks – she said i could have a shower but try and keep the strips as dry as poss. we only have a bath though so still only allowed shallow baths – gutted was looking forward to a proper bath lol!

i saw your other post that your in a lot of pain hun i think you should call your nurse cos they told me its not normal to be in a lot of pain and to ring them if i was.

Hi Izzy, i had my one week check today too babe and the nurse cut my stitches shorter and said i had to wait 4 days to get them wet and then take the steri-strip off??!! how is it all the info is different? did you get given a breast band last week after op? xx

breast bands are used for unders.. that is what mario sed….. and mario dosnt like u to get them wet for 14 days…. xxxx

i didnt get breastband but i had overs. claire sounds like you got told the same as me then dont know why you were told different fiona, what clinic do you go to? x x

i think so lol… wanted 460 but they didnt get delivered….. wasnt prepared to cancel n rearrange as my first date was cancelled. so had 410 xx

I went to Nottingham Izzy I hope my stitches will be ok as they were cut today! xx

they honestly look really good claire so i hope you like them! cant believe the others didnt get ordered!

im sure they will be fine fiona, the nurse just told me today he doesnt like them being cut till 2 weeks because before that there still fresh and tender x x

they got ordered,,, my pc checked twice. they just didnt get delievered. xx
