Had my opp yesterday at London Fitzroy, everyone there was sooo nice and supportive, made me feel right at ease. I was worried about sleeping but managed quite well, I will never take for granted pulling up my own trousers! Had to stop at the services on my way home and had to ask a random lady to help me pull them up after going to the toilet haha, she found it funny then asked if I needed help with anything else bless her. It feels like I have been punched in the chest multiple time so it’s a dull pain rather than a stabbing one, arms can hardly move with the chest band. I had 275 in one and 300 in the other ,high profile round implants ,under the muscle, Dr fiumara . Over all I’m happy but very sleepy due to the medication. Happy to answer any questions and I will upload pics when I can

    Hey Hollie,
I’m glad your op went well and that everyone at Fitzroy was lovely. I’ve got my op there in November also with Dr. Fiumara for 300&325 cc unders, either mod + or HP.
Haha bless that lady, lucky that someone was around for you. How long was your journey home? I’m traveling from near Bristol and am contemplating coming back straight after or staying in a hotel in London. Did you feel worse this morning than you did yesterday?
    I’ve added you as a friend – hope you don’t mind 🙂
    Xx

I’m from Bristol so it took about 2/3 hours due to traffic but I stayed at the Novotel hotel ,which is about 30 mins from Fitzroy but very nice , good food too lol .I went up the day before and went back to hotel after surgery as I didn’t know if I would be up for the journey home. I am stiff and a bit sore but manageable. I will upload pics at my one week check up ?

    Hey @hollieann
My op is on a Thursday and if I stay in a hotel I worry that I’ll feel worse the next day and that traffic will be much heavier… I’ve requested an early admission time just in case I do decide to go home the same day but know that there is no guarantee that I’ll get one. I’m staying with my Grandma the night before as she’s just outside London but don’t want to burden her with looking after me after the op. Decisions, decisions ? Xx

Hi @icrlm I had a 9 am admission time ,got there at 8:30 just to be safe and didn’t go down till 12:30 ,came back up at 3 as she tried a few sizes to see what would be best but didn’t get to leave till 10 someone with early admission was still there all day, so I would recommend somewhere close as all you will want to do is sleep, might not be what you want to hear but thought it was worth the warning sorry ,but you never know you could be in and out like some people are.

I know that the op could be up to six hours after the admission time so wouldn’t expect to be released until 6/7pm but wow, 10pm doesn’t sound like fun. I could be in and out as you say but I’m planning for the worst, within reason, so that it can only be better than expected. It’s all food for thought…. Xx
