Had Pre-op…but didnt get weighed measured or blood pressue?

We jst went thru my medical history, all the do’s and dont’s, took pics and got mrsa swabs…but didnt get any of the above done, will they do these on the day? On my tick box thing at my consultation i have my guessed height and weight but ive put on a few pounds since then so it wont be 100% accurate! xx

Hey hun I got measured,and blood pressure done at my Pre-op but I wasnt weighed. Depends on what you’re having done I expect cuz originally my nurse said I didnt need MRSA swabs cuz having Laser Lipo and no hospital stay needed. But then she sent swabs in post for me to do. I didnt have pics done though :S maybe its different depending on your nurse/ procedure?? not sure

Hello, I’ve been for my pre-op assessment with the nurse at Newcastle clinic today, I went through medical history, had Mesa swabs done, pictures taken, weight done. Didn’t measure my current breast size though which I would have thought theyd do. Thank god I didn’t need any blood tests doing, I would have probably cried! Oh and obv we went through all the pre/post op information and I showed her the bra’s I’d bought for after surgery and she said all was ok! X

Oh yeah you would have thought she would have measured your boob size at the mo, tad weird lol. Oh I hate blood tests they kill but I didnt have 2 have 1 either so all good

I don’t think anyone has their boobs measured at their pre op by the nurse. If it’s going to be done it’ll be done by the surgeon at your consultation x

Yeah they do all sorts of tests at the hospital before surgery, Inc pregnancy tests x x

Did the nurse say how long it would take for ur MRSA swab results to come back? X

nope she didnt, i kinda thot i wudn’t hear anything unless it was positive…some hospitals only bother about it if u work in a hospital etc but rosshall in ggow want every1 swabed x

Hey i had my pre-op in london today too. They took weight, height, blood pressure, mrsa swabs, and took pics (cringe lol)

Major cringe lol, at least we’ll be able to see the massive difference when we have our next pictures done by the nurse lol x

I had my pre op in London nearly 2 weeks ago, my nurse could barely remember what day it was!

All she done was vaguely ran through my medical history and took blood pressure and pics. No swabs taken or weight.

It would be more reassuring if the procedure for the pre-op was the same throughout the country x

I wasn’t weighed n mrsa swabs wasnt taken, jus blood, blood pressure n loads of questions!! Xx

You’d have thought they have a standard process wouldn’t you. I wonder why they sometimes need to take blood and other times they don’t? X x
