Hair Extensions/nail extensions and the Op

Hi there this may sound like a really silly question but do you have to remove hair/nail extensions prior to the op? I am booked in at High gate with Mr Singh on the 13th Aug for breast aug but thinking of having extensions put in beforehand – obviously no point if i have to take them out for the op. Thanks

i think that hair extensions might be ok…but dont quote me on that, itll just be harder to manage after the op…but you cant have any false nails or lashes etc on. not even nail varnish! check at your pre-op about the hair extension though, i took mine out just incase cos i wasnt prepared to have my op re arrange for some hair!!! good luck x

and diff surgeons say diff things bout nails ur have to ask ur dr xxx

Yup extensions are fine but im having mine out anyway (hair needs redoing by chance) but it will be an absolute nightmare to try & wash. Xxx

I was the same myn are glued in an never come out, i dread to think whats living in there! i asked my pc an she said no hair extensions on nails or even nailvarnish for the surgery so id just double check, i no theyd dont like owt on your nails cos if owt goes wrong wen your asleep your finger nails turn a differnt colour so its one of the things the anethesist looks out for, i would double check though before you do have them put back in! i think all the surgeons are different, ive got mr Kazzazi, hope this helped x x x
