Hard thing in my dressing…

Just became aware of something quite hard and rectangular under my right incision under the dressing and it’s starting to sting a bit… What would be put in the dressing that is hard??? Should it be there? Like a tube or something? Worried it will rub on my cut and open it? Xx

hello lovey nothing to worry about basically all it will be is some excess fluid or blood that may have leaked and dried hard. i had the exact same thing those dressings are made for absorbing bodily fluid from a cut or graze. i had the exact same dont worry xx

I rang the nurse babe and she said it may be the extra length left on the stitches. Nothing to worry about but my sports bra is digging in n spitting on them 🙁 xx
