Or can anyone recommend any other good creams etc? I’ve got bio oil and cocoa butter for when I can start applying them, but have seen these strips on the Boots website and wondered if they were any good.

Mine is a tummy tuck scar so really conscious about using the right things earh on and making it as faint as possible. My surgeon has just suggested E45 or baby oil??

    Thanks xx

Hiya I had boobs, but Biooil gave me sweat spots, probably cos of there area, palmers cocoa butter is fabulous as had skin stretching. But Boots strips were very good for actual scar and approx 11 weeks p/o and although can see scar no where near as bad as my caesarean scar 8 years later, as I had no idea about products available at the time. happy healing. x

Hello cfp…how’s the healing going???youl have to let me know what works for you….I’ve been advised by lots of people that bio oil is very good for scars but also savers make their own at a fraction of the cost and the results from my friends legs are amazing.xx :-)

Thank you :) when did you start using the strips, and how long for? Did you use the cocoa butter and the put the stips on after the cream had dried, or did you start using the cream later on? Sorry for the questions!! I’m going to go ahead and order some then :) I’m almost 5 weeks post op but my dressings are still on at the moment because I had a couple of openings but hopefully I’m all healed now and can have them off on weds xx

Hi Emsy, I used bio oil when I was pregnant with both my boys and it didn’t work hence why I had the TT :) so am a bit reluctant to try that alone. My friend is a beautician and she had a bad break on a bone in her arm and she told me to lather my scar with oil (even olive oil out the cupboard). It worked for her! But I do prefer moisturisers to oils on my skin xx

i was told the serum is really good but ive only used it twice lol, i think il be having a re op so dont see much point in using it just to be cut open again so might save it, mind u its not expensive so i might use it if i remember haha. xx

How did you find having the tt? I’m looking in to having a mini tt as soon as I can afford it! I had a ba 4 weeks ago! Do you mind if I add you? X

No, not at all, I have read on here a few people are looking into mini tt’s but my surgeon said there was no such thing as a mini tt… But that was just prob in my case! Haha.

I’m still healing but the results are already looking amazing :) it really hasn’t been as painful as I imagined, probably because your nerves are cut so I have no feeling down there yet, it is slowly coming back but even when I scratch if I have an itch, I can’t feel it!! Very strange sensation!

I posted a long reply in a thread about reviews for Marion Grob, I’ll try and put the link in here for you xx

Thanks Hun! That’s helped a lot! There’s not much on here about tt! Is it worse pain than having a c-section or about the same? X

It’s nothing like having a section at all.. I’ve had 2 sections and a BA is a doddle in comparison z x

I have never had a c section but I can honestly say having the tummy tuck was not half as bad as I imagined, and the only discomfort I had was back ache when I walked cos you are bent over. I’m 5 weeks post op today and am walking straight and am driving again, able to do every day things. It’d a great feeling! A lot of the swelling has gone down but I hope I am still a bit swollen because my pre op clothes dont feel comfortable yet. I have been told to allow up to a year for all swelling to go down. And I still have 4 weeks left in my garment (but that really keeps you supported so dont mind) :) xx

How long does Marion suggest you wear the garment??I thought it was only a six week thing!!lolcfp do you mind me asking. ….did you have a lot of skin taken off when you had a tt ?I only ask because I have a lot of fat that hangs in my “pouch”as after losing seven stone it’s the only place that the fat is noticeable….so I was hoping to fit in a smaller size due to the pouch being removed.x

I was told to wear the garment for 8 weeks but I was only able to get it on after one week cos I was so swollen, now I’m on the last clasp and it is feeling loose. So, I have 4 weeks left in it, but I took it off to wash it and didn’t put the binder on as this not really supportive anymore (hospital provided this one when Marion said the garment was really tight and would cause me to bruise), and when I tried to put the garment back on I was so swollen I really had to squeeze into it! So wear it all the time cos it really helps.

I have no idea how much skin was taken away but because I had lipo to abdomen and hips it’s loosened a lot of skin to afford to come down more, it hasn’t come down to my “pouch”, has Marion advised you that that will go? Well done with your weight loss!!! How did you lose it? I can’t wait to exercise again, I’m hoping next week I can try swimming!!

    Xx

This sounds disgusting but I can only explain my belly as a carrier bag hanging of my hips down to where my pubic area is full of fat!!!!!I reckon it weighs the 6lb I can’t loose 😥 That’s what mp pouch is!!!!thanks for the praise of loosing weight I started healthier eating last jan and started running and the weight has come off bit by bit!!!!It doesent matter how much I’ve worked on my abs I can’t seem to fight the fat in this area!!! So if I kept the garment on how long would you usually have to wait before you can have a shower??? And how are you healing now…..last time you had come open in two areas? I honestly can’t wait to have this op xxxx
