Hi I have been advised to have an uplift but am worried about losing nipple sesation and scarring. The consultant says I could do the BA and see how I feel later on and do uplift then if necessary but that will be expensive.
Has anyone not gone ahead with the uplift but had the BA anyway?
Or has anyone had the uplift too and what were the effects?
hi hun I had uplift with implants and hv to say def glad I did both! I knew that I would need an uplift anyway as my boobs were mega droopy!! My nipples now are (if poss) even more sensitive then they were b4 hand, as for scarring yes it is obviously worse with an uplift than it would b with just a straight forward ba but it’s so worth it, and tbh the only ones that r noticeable are the ones that run down the middle of the boob and they fade with time! if you’ve been advised to hv uplift then I’d listen to what surgeon is saying, although of ur not sure then get a 2cnd opinion, do u really want to hv To go through surgery again a few years down the line because ur not happy with ur boobs again, the uplift is quite a big op and from my own experience I hv to say the recovery was sloooww but I’m now 4 months p/o and so glad I did it! who have u had consultations with hun? Xxx
I didn’t have an uplift but feel that I should of been given the choice, my implants were only put in last march and already will need to be re done,I suppose its a case of what you are after, if u just want bigger fuller boobs then just have implants but if you are worried about movement droopyness and sagging then I would have both xx
I had 685cc implants. I was advised to have a lift aswell, but just couldnt afford it. You can add me if you want and see my pics. I had stage 3 in one boob and stage 2 in other. I am pleased with them. Better than they were.xx Hope it helps.xx
if you have been offered the uplift and can afford it then id suggest you get it done. i have seen pics off girls and read story’s where they were offered the uplift but didnt go through with it, and they wished they had as there boobs sagged and didnt look nice.
I would go with an uplift if recommended I really would.. I have seen and heard personal accounts of people who chose not too and the results are not great.. I think it all depends on what result your after. I want a full pert breast with nipple in the correct position, I don’t want low nipples as for me it wouldn’t be worth having as I wouldn’t get my desired result therefore I am having a nipple lift…
like you i was offered a straight forward enlargement or uplift with enlargement…i have gone for implant and uplift as i am worried my breasts would be too heavy with just an enlargement and they will need uplifting in the future…….did you go for just enlargment or did you feel you needed an uplift? i always wanted the uplift…x am going in on 5/1/2012 x
Personally I didn’t need a lift, but one thing after having my op I can say is that my surgeon knew what I needed and delivered what he promised!
My point being is that if ur surgeon advised an uplift as well then have the uplift as implants alone will not do this, they will only be an extension on what u already have xxxx
You dont want the “tennis ball in a football sock effect”. I had the lift and implant. I saw my scsrs for the first time on friday. They are perfect, neat and once they are fully healed i think they will b grand. I still have the nipple on too! I couldnt have achieved a lovely full breast without it. Dr Russo did mine & im pleased up to now. Its a lot of money to spend not to be happy. Tale your time & don’t regret anything. Lots of love xx
I was advised against just having an enlargement as it would look awful. He said I would only need a lift in 6 months-1 year afterwards anyway as they would droop even more without an uplift done at the same time. It saves money in the long run so I am definitely going to go with both. Wish I didnt need the lift though.
Thats what 3 pregnancies does to you lol
Hia I have been advised to have an uplift an implants I’m a 36c at the mo an quite flat from breast feeding 4 children including twins! I have decided not to go for the uplift as I think the 560cc tear drop extra projection iv been offered should hopefully fill them out, I am tryin to get as much info an see as many pics as I can before my op in jan cause I’m still worrying if I’m makin the rite decision not to go for it, everyone’s shape is different thou so u don’t no wat to expect til u see them, it’s such a hard decision to make!! Xx
Why is it a hard decision? Financially maybe as it is a couple of K more than a normal BA. But people who are scared of the scars please dont be…they fade and I don’t me a bit I mean you can’t see them at all unless you are REALLY looking and who (other than us analysing every inch) is going to do that!!
I am about 8 weeks post op and mine (like most peoples) have faded dramatically already! If you have been advised then get a couple of other opinions to help make your mind up, just make sure you ask why they have advised you X and another surgeon advised Y etc and then go with the majority. Otherwise what is the point in going for a consult if you are going to go against their advice? You may as well not have bothered. X
I agree, if a surgeon has advised an uplift, it’s simply because in his professional opinion u need one!
If ur gonna spend the money u may as well do a full job and not half a job!
Xxx
I was advised to have an uplift and at first I was gutted, started crying in my consultation! I went and had another two consultations with different surgeons and went head with the uplift. I’m five weeks post op tomorrow and so far so good, you should do what it right for you, but the surgoen is the expert and think it is best to follow their advice. I had Mr Russo and would 100% recommend him he is a miricle worker and not heard a bad word against him, absolute perfectionist, I’m sure all of the Russo girls agree
