Has anyone gone on holiday 2 and half weeks after their Ba ??

im booked in for my Ba in March and was wondering whether anybody has gone on holiday quite soon after their op, as im looking to go 2 and a half weeks after mine. But am not sure whether i can get away with this as it sounds quite soon…

I don’t think you can go on hols that soon (abroad) due to fact you’ll still be healing and quite achy, I’m sure there a time gap ythey tell u to allow, your pc will know xx

yer u right theyve said 6 wks minimum, but was just wondering whether anyone had done this sooner than the advised.. coz some people seem to say that they not in much pain after a week.. but think im going to have to re-arrange this hol :o( to be safe x

they told me not to,
have you booked the holiday?
best to wait hun you dont want them to rupture! its because of the air pressure when you go on a plane,
I am going on holiday the 22 april and had mine done last week and they said that was ok, but couldnt fly for 6-8weeks

i dont think flying is the problem as ppl have had ba’s abroad and then dome home its the fact ur still heling. ur scars take a long time to completely heal and if u sunbathe or wear sun cream or go in the pool with chlorine in its reli not going to help the healing process and you done want them to get infected spesh while ur not in england. i no i wasnt in much pain after too weeks but if someone had even offered at that point to go on hol and pay i still wuda sed no cos u still need to get used to them and ur arms still ache n stuff. hope this helps obv its up to you but i no i wud not of felt up to it xx
