Has anyone had Mastitus after giving birth?

I had severe mastitus after having my little boy, my boobs went rock hard and square and was incredibly painful. For anyone who has suffered with this and had a BA I’d love to hear if the recovery pain was similiar. Also, does anyone know if this will increase my chance of Capsular Contraction?? am so worried about this x

Hey Missy, I had severe mastitis after having my son and yes the feeling in the breasts was quite similar after my BA. However, I’m currently on day 3 and wow, the difference is unbelievable. Soooo much better. Don’t worry, the pain can be similar, the unbearable filling of the breasts,however, the temperature and everything that came with the mastitis was not there, just the feeling in the breasts. The stabbing pain wasn’t as bad as with the mastitis either. Not sure what capsular contraction is but I hope I’ve helped put your mind at rest even a little Hun xxx

hya yep me too, to be honest i cant remember wat it felt like just that it fooking hurt! xxx

kellymc80 – oh wow so you are on day 3 now? what did you have hun? what size? unders/overs? would love to add you. Capsular Contraction is where the capsule that naturally forms around the implant forms very thick or keeps forming and depending on how bad the case is it can cause quite severe disfigurement as it contorts the implant and becomes rock hard. The implant and existing breast tissue is removed in severe cases…….hate reading stuff like that!! eeekkkk!! x
