has anyone had unders and managed without painkillers

i only took mine for a couple of days yeah they do makeyou feel sick but also did they make you feel really sleepy ?x

Pls is the cocodomol same as co-dydramol? cos that was the painkiller given to me and i just look forward to takin it as the pain is unbearable. am 2 days post op, cant wait to be fully painless

I had 505 unders and I stopped taking the painkillers after about 4 days as felt pooh! i used paracetamol before i went to bed but that was about it! I think after 4 or 5 days you start to notice that its a lot better!

Hi girls im 6 days post op and ive felt sick and having hot flushes must be the medication mine finished yesterday so hoping things will get better now. xx

The uncoated Cocodomol from the hospital made me sick and drowsy from day 1 so I stopped taking them. I spoke to my nurse and she said to take paracetemol/ibuprofen but I have only needed them for once (had a bit of pain on day 5 after BA) Without the painkillers it wasn’t all that painful, I just felt a lot stiffer x

I had my ba on wed and had unders I came out of hosp that night which I wished I hadn’t done now
I have had the same with the pain killers they have made me mega dizzy and really bad tummy aches
I’m four days post op now and have had no pain killers today even popped into work for three hours but don’t know bout u but still mega sore and stiff
I have a two yr old and can’t cuddle him and it breaks my heart,but role on wed when I get my tape off
hope U all feel better soon ,I sure bloody hope so lol xxx

Thanks everyone, this is all so helpful everyone that understands all supporting each other.
I have had a much better day today, ive taken your advice, and only when ive needed to taken paracetomol or ibuprofen,its enough to just relieve any discomfort, but it really hasnt been to bad today, and they have slightly softened now so that reileves a bit of the tentsion.
i dont know what i would of done without the help of this forum, there is no help better than from people who have actually experienced the problem.xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi tink. if you are taking the cocodomol they gave you at the hospital you could be having a reaction to it. im allergic to it and it makes me feel extremely weird too. if youre in too much pain try ibuprofen (only 200mg) as they help take down swelling too and theyre not too harsh on your body. hope this helps. you dont need to be in pain, just try and find something that works for you.

to be honest i think its the antibiotics

i had to take the medication they gave me for 3days and then i took my own painkillers for maybe for 1 day after.. and i had unders, didnt really have much pain at all xx

i only had paracetmol and on day 3 post op i stopped taking them x

yesterday, i felt so unwell, but i had been taking the tampril they gave me , i felt sick, sleepy, dizzy, overheated and d heart palpitations. and heartburn and headache.
not a good combination, they are very strong and i think by yesterday by body had just reacted to all the drugs its been bombarded with over the last two days,
annaesetic,antibiotics, morphine,tampril and co cocodamol, i am going to lay off now, i would rather put up with the discomfort than all the other stuff. xx

I have been feeling quite rough today, and it has occured to me that it is the pain killers that are making me feel that way.
headache, dizzy, feeling sick and very hot. i had my op on thursday, so i thought i would try and lay of the pills for a while and see how i get on, i am quite sore though.
Anyone else had the same dilema ?

The co-codamol that the hospital gave me made me feel really sick after a couple of days. I went to Boots and bought over the counter co codamol and was fine. It’s got a lot lower amount of codeine in it, took the edge off the pain but without all the nasty side effects of the higher dose given to me at the hospital x x

No i felt wonderful when i woke up, it was when i went home ,the pain killers i was taking were starting to make me feel unwell, i took the last one yesterday lunchtime and felt shit all afternoon, so i havn’t taken any more until this morning i have had two paracetamol, and thats not because im in alot of pain, more discomfort and thought the paracetomal would just ease it a bit, but i feel more normal today. xx

the night i spent in hostpital i didnt sleep AT ALL !!
but last night i got about 8 hours with a loo break in between, but you have to sleep kind of proped up so you loose your snuggle factor. but not for long i hopex
Oh and i had mr malik. he was lovely x

im hoping to b able to cuddle em on my side tink. let us know how u get on. how u sleeping xx

im only two days post op, and it is beareable, but to be honest i dont think cuddling the twins would be possible at this point, i couldnt cuddle my boyfriend when he came to see me last night, but hey, there are many ways to show love, kisses ,words and touch, just not round the boob area LOL,
I am going to stop taking the pain killers and see how i get on, i cant cope with how they make me feel.
at the moment my boobs feel like when your milk first comes in , very tight a bit tender x

Hi Tink, the co-codomol made me feel like that as well, plus I ended up with loads of mouth ulcers and a water infection so felt really crappy. The nurse advised me to change to Ibuprofen and paracetamol so I took them alternatively every 4 hours.

i had 210cc under the muscle, i am a tiny frame only 5ft, the surgeon wanted to give me 190cc but we canged it on the day, i posted my sory on here yesterday so if you scroll down you can read it.

hiya tink. ive got my ba on tues, who did yrs? wat did u have? anyway back to the point lol, wen i had ny twin girls 18 months ago, i had a forcep delivery and coukldnt sit down after lol and it was sore but i didn wanna take strong painkillers so just took paracetmol n was fine, it outweighed the fact that i wasnt going to feel spaced out etc, hope that helps xxx
