When Mr Traynor is your surgeon, does he recommend it or not. i totally forgot to ask..
Yeah it seems he does – http://www.mya.co.uk/mya-space/mya-forums/topic/arnica-instructions-help-please
i had mr t and took arnica – don’t think i started it earlier enough – (2 days preop) and been taking it since – (2 weeks post op tomorrow). Did get some bruising under my right boob and it has gone down a lot quicker i think than if i hadn’t taken it xx
Thats a great help thanks, i’m going to go this weekend. did you take them up till your op and then just carry on? sorry i dont know much about them. and trying to sort everything out as i have a hectic couple of weeks at work xx
No, neither do the nurses. It can thin ur blood.Mr Traynor and my nurse almost had a panic attack when i said i had bought arnica! it remains untouched in my drawer.Tbh waste of money anyway as i only had bruising where my scars where and no where else. x
i mentioned this too fairy but know one ever seems to listen, newboobies also mentioned yesterday it thins the blood, think no one seems to believe it true, i never had one bit of bruising and never took anything xx
Totally agree nikki, it is a blood thinner and is not recommended!
i had a lil bit bruising round me scars which is obv gonna happen with the tugging of the knife!
personally wouldnt waste me money!
nikki im listening lol!! xx
i listened when i was told too, then i googled it and found out it was true, google is the answer to all lol xx
god bless google lol!
i google everything!
u told me before my op, then when i mentioned it to nurse and mr t their eyes almost popped out their head lol! i thought they were literally gonna pull the arnicaout my hands lol xx
haha thank god for google and its endless supply of truthfull wisdom, google you are my new god, i bow before your presence lol xx
Don’t want you to think Arnica is no good though. It’s a miracle cure for bruising under normal circumstances – get the cream and keep it in your medicine cabinet, it’s brilliant stuff. Just don’t use if you’ve got stitches, having/ had surgery, or if you’re taking any other blood thinners (aspirin, warfarin, ibuprofen etc).
