You can’t notice that one is more swollen than the other until you take your bra off and its only ever been noticeable to me. My partner and friends said I was being paranoid lol. But you can’t see it at all when you’re dressed so don’t worry, you won’t look weird or anything :-)
I’m sure I speak for all us post op girls when I say you can ask as many questions as you like. We understand how stressful it is waiting for your op and all the fears that go with it x

Aww juworrow, u serious?? I just hope my blood pressure wnt be so high.. I’m nervous but my boyfriend said he will be thr for me all through… You girls are brilliant!! Share your experience with all of us put us at ease… I just hope, everything comes out perfectly. What did you girls do about the othr being different from the othr?? How did you hide it from people noticing??

Oh definately, mine has only just dropped! I looked in the mirror and thought they were horribly lopsided, my other half said he couldn’t see what I was on about but you’re always your own worst critic. My right was a lot more swollen than my left and a lot more bruised. Apparently it tends to effect whatever breast was the smaller one, more. My right was smaller than my left so it took longer to recover. They will even out, don’t let it bother you. Also my right was a lot more bruised than my left xx

hi joworrow so its quite normal for one to look a little lopsided to the other, im 11 days post op now n i did have one slightly smaller than the other, to me it now looks alot different, the nurse said the larger one is still a little swollen n the other is ok.. will they even out.. only can tell when i stand n look in the mirror, but i guess im looking for it…x

The surgery is a big deal, I am 4 weeks post op now and what you’re feeling, I felt too. I was terrified! Started wondering if I really needed them, were my old ones really that bad, what if something went wrong….etc. But you know what………I WAS WORRYING ABOUT NOTHING!!
My new boobs look amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better result. I was expecting a 32D but have ended up a 32E/F! I have no pain now and they have finally both dropped (my left dropped first so I was a little lop sided for a couple of weeks haha).
The surgeon and anaesitist (sorry I can’t spell it!) will be with you every step of the way, monitoring your stats and making sure it all goes well.
I cried when they were taking me into theatre (yes I am a big wuss……i know!) they had to tell me to calm down because I was sending my blood pressure through the roof! When I came round I felt so silly as I’d made such a fuss over what now seemed like nothing!
Don’t let the fear take over is my advice, I did and I let it ruin the experience for me, I should have been excited but I was so frightened! You have nothing to worry about and you will love your new boobs! The surgeons are amazing. And MYA as a whole is a brilliant company, I had a lovely patient co-ordinator who really put me at ease and my surgeon and anaesitist were very comforting too.
Good luck with your ops girlies! xxx

I was just wondering if anyone had had or heard of any major complications during surgery or after at MYA. I am so scared of putting to sleeping. Especially the fact that you cant breath yourself. What if you stop breathing and the doctor doesnt notice? Also, is it true a person can get gangre after ba?? I’m having my ba on the 14th october??

    Menu

Definetly you all! They are truly amazing.. Amyloux, i wont change my mind cause i have wanted this all my life although putting to sleep is really scary… I’m scared but you girls supports are holding me together.. I will try and be brave concentrating on the end result rather than the process. I love and thank you all for your moral support.

totally agree with you all girls! and divafly it is totally natural to feel like that i pretty much feel the same about being put to sleep but i get to see operations performed quite often where i work and those patients seem to fine after being given a general. Hope your fears don’t discourage you from having your ba.

i’am not suprised your worried it’s a big thing and of course you’ll be exicited but as the time nears i think fear takes over and all the worries…. am i doing the right thing, what if something go’s wrong, what if i don’t like them do i really need them but i’am sure everyone go’s through this, and as for negative comments you just have to put them to one side and think about how it makes you feel as long as your happy then thats all that matters i think some people give negative comments as there either jelous or maybe worried for you but stuff them and get them done hun haha xx

I understand how your feelin hun, i’m going in next week and yes i am excited etc but I am so nervous, keep wondering if i’m doing the right thing and scared something will go wrong. Think its only natural to feel like this thought. My family are being supportive and so is my partner, Ive had a few negative comments from certain friends etc but they odnt really understand how i feel deep down, so i just let that go over my head x x x

Aww, thanks alot… I’m just really scared. Everyone is writing how excited they are but i am just so worried abd scared. As the days come closer, i just start shievering. But it is such a relief hearing this from you. I will sure ask my pc about the gangre. My dad doesnt want me to do it… So all i have told is my boyfriend who is ok. I’m scared of telling people cause i dont want negetive comment. I’m just being optimistic. Tynks

aiya hun, you sound really worried, when your put to sleep your on machines so that they can keep an eye on breathing and blood pressure e.t.c if you were to stop breathing the machines would beep to notify them but they are constantly watching them to make sure your alright, as for gangreen i’am not to sure but with all surgeries there’s a risk of something going wrong speak to your pc i’am sure she will put you at ease xx
