Have any of you ladies got young children?

Part of me feels really guilty by having a ba whilst I have a young little boy who I’m not guna be able to pick up for a week :-(

How long roughly does it take on average to recover?

Fingers crossed I’m a lucky one who will be able to cuddle him after a few days & not be in excruciating pain x x x

I had a 1yr old n 2 yr old when I had mine done. My mum had the girls for the first 4 days. Girls back for the weekend then I went to my mums to stay for a week. Hubby had to go back to work. I didn’t pick my girls up till about 3/4 ish weeks but then they are older and are solid girls!! I wasn’t in any pain but wanted to make sure I was really ok about doing it. I did lift youngest out of cot at mums n it did hurt as in a pulling feeling after but was fine just didn’t like the feeling n didn’t want to do it again. I didn’t have any pain at all just felt like mh milk was in, that really tight feeling but that soon goes. When mine dropped (11days) felt loads better. Will u not have any help? With maybe the highchair u could sit on the floor n have a picnic :) he might like it :) xx oh n I’m now 4 months po n things r way back to normal now :) xx

Ye I’ve got help, my partner is taking 5 days off work & my mum only lives around the corner.

I’m going bk to work after 5 days too. I work in a men’s designer clothes shop so work is actually easier than looking after archie :-)

I’ve only been there a month so didn’t wanna book days off but they’ve reassured me if I’m not fit enough then they will find cover.

Archies a bit of a mummy’s boy :-) & loves being cuddled to sleep. That’s what’s making me feel bad! But maybe it’s time for daddy to get him to sleep.

Thanks for posting bk to me. I love ppl who r honest!

Like one of u said it’s a matter of days not years x x x

I haven’t had my BA yet, booked in for the 4th Jan the day after my little boy turns 18mths! I just want to say you are not at all alone with your concerns or feelings of guilt. Other ladies on here have said before to try and not feel guilty as new boobies will make you happier and in turn your little boy will reap the benefits……it made me feel a little better anyway! :-) as for picking him up just use all the help you can get for as long as you feel you need it and move everything down to floor level where possible and you can still enjoy your cuddles xx

im day 4 PO and be real lucky and not had any pain relief from leaving hospital… i had 340 under the muscle… i gymed alot before my BA ~ those tum muscles have come in hand lol… but, am still not able to lift anything or reach too far… be honest, if you are having it done with a child thats totally dependent on you, then make sure you have a couple of weeks help.

i keep having the odd dizzy spell and alot weaker than before my op. find myself “resting” alot. They say you ok to return to work after a week but 2 weeks if your job quite active, and being a mum is an active job.xx

ps i have two primary school age children. one of which has autism… i do not feel guilty. my boobs have served their purpose and now have been restored. I feel happier as “me” now (even though they look weird to start with) ~ remember why you want them. feeling of guilt is very natural, especially as a mom… but, its the best present my husband ever bought me :)

Thanks ladies. It’s nice to no other mums are/were feeling the same.

I’m sure my family will help me for as long a I need them too so I should be fine.

Just hope I’m one of the lucky ones who heel quickly :-) x
