having people with you

i’ve booked my operation for the 20th of june and i was wondering if anyone could tell me if im allowed to have more than once person with me in my room? its just that my mum will probably feel a lot more nervous before hand and having my friend with me too will hopefully calm me down before i have to go into theatre.
