Healing problems????

Hi girls, I’m 16 days post BA op & am dIshearted because I still have dressings on! Iv got a tiny little part of my scar that won’t heal. Has anyone else had this prOblen. Would love to hear back? Feel alone.

hi lorna i’m only 7 days post op but i did go for my check up yesterday and the right boob is healed but theres a small part on the left scar that hasn’t so am due back on thursday to see if it has healed … it is so horrid as i can’t shower for another week and had to oay £30 for a wash/blow dry/ style all i can say is do not stretch at all and make everyone do everything for you for a whole week as thats what i am doing so fingers crossed it works but you’re not alone i promise theres alot of lasses that have gone through this hope your ok xxxx

Me too …I’ve got a small part (i think where the suture was) that hasn’t healed, and i’m 21 days post op …so back to the dressings and washing my hair over the bath x

I’m exactly the same. I’m 5 weeks po today and i’ve got a small hole with has developed, nurses are treating it but it’s taking a while to heal…looking like it finall is now though yay xxx

i was the same, i had 18 days without a shower or anything. now im lucky as i can, and my scars look really good, but i still have stitches there xx

can I ask if any of you girls smoke or drink alot? It does affect tissue healing alot….so if you can give it up for 7 days and have a diet high in fuit, veg, and protein, it will help…and not stretching! I have to deal with wounds alot at work and they mainly dont heel when people smoke! Happy healing girls, hopefully you’ll get sorted soon xx

I am the same, 4 weeks 2days post op and have a small part ov my scar not heeling its like a hole thing xx

Hiya hun don’t feel down!

I literally didn’t get the clear to take my sterile strips off until 5 weeks po!

I couldn’t shower until 3 weeks and had to wear waterproof plasters when I did!

I had an allergic reaction to the stitches and once they went I healed really quikcly! I was so upset I done everyones head in on here it seemed like a massive deal to me at the time I was wondering why I wasn’t healing like other people etc!!

However now I have no problems at all!

Try not to stress too muchn plenty orange juice, water and fresh veg xxx

Thank u so much girls, massive help & a kind of relief. I’m a nurse yet iv still really worried about it because I’m only 22 & don’t smoke & haven’t really drank & so should heal quickly. It really has worried me, I know it will get there, but I’m sick of not showering properly & getting bf to wash hair. Thanks for the reassurance, really appreciated xx

Amanda it sounds like you have the same as me! Lol no I don’t smoke or drink think its just one of those things. It’s on my left boob which is completely numb so wasn’t sure if I’d pulled it and hasn’t realised xxx

Yeah that’s the same as mine hun. I’m 5 weeks po. It’s looking look its finally starting to heal now so fingers crossed! Xx

Do u still have dressings on? And aren’t allowed to shower? I’m sick of not having a proper shower x
