hiya, i work in an office, and went back on day 8, also that was the first day I drove too (but i only work 5 mins from home) Being a lifeguard, i guess you’ll need at least 6 weeks off, as i don’t think you are meant to swim cos of your scars xx

I had mine under the muscle and took one week off work. I couldn’t drive for the 2 weeks like they said. I wouldn’t have been able even if i wanted to as even after the 2 weeks i needed 2 hands to change gear… it wasn’t painful but just had no strength in my chest.

Being a lifeguard is a tricky one! I had disolvable stitches so having a shower after a week was fine but i was told not to soak in the bath within 6 weeks. Your stitches will go too quickly plus the scars are still fresh.
