In what sense, it takes up to a year for them to heal completely.

My scars took about 7 weeks to heal and are still red but fading at 8 weeks

It took 5-6 weeks before i could comfortably do all the things i’d normally do, I had unders

One of my friends was still struggling with hers 3 months down the line, she’s a size 6 and had 410 unders

Ros did you find unders really painful? How long did you have off work?

I decided to go for the 340s in the end, same as you. Think i was getting carried away wanting bigger when really i’ll just be happy with nice firm boobs rather than what i have now! xx

I have had unders (14 days post op), and finding everything still very painful! I have to take off my MACOM bra the moment I wake up as I feel my chest is going to explode!!! I really miss doing everyday stuff but I am holding out for the 6 week check to do normal activity as everything just hurts at the moment!!! It will be worth it in the end – beauty is pain! x

Hi Suzyp, I am a self employed photographer and actually took some photos at 3 weeks post op but it was hard work as i spend a lot of the time crawling on the floor!

Properly back at work at about 4-5 weeks i think, felt completely normal by 5 weeks or so but not normal at all at 3 weeks!

tazha, I founf my macom really uncomfortable and wore a different sports bra to bed, one that was slightly big for me!

hi i came across this site before i had my BA but never joined any conversations. although reading them all helped me, before and after the op ! i had the same problem with a bra at night, and i used to just wear the crop top bras,http://www.twenga.co.uk/dir-Lingerie,Bras-and-bustiers,Crop-top-bra always a size or two too big ! they were really comfy, no wires or anything, plus gave me support as well as being able to move ! hope the recoveries are going good for you all, its unbearable at the time but amazing after :)

just joined the site and its good to hear that pain is normal! I had my op on wednesday and am in so much pain still. I had 350’s under so a massive difference. I had my surgery with Helana and she is fantastic, just hoped I would heel quicker! How long will the initial pain last??

I’m 4 weeks post op from 410 unders. I feel pretty normal and have done for quite a while. I found the first 10 days uncomfortable and restricting, but getting back to work really helped me out physically as well as mentally. Before that i was totally focused on me and my new boobs, but once i had to start thinking about other stuff normality returned!! I also have a 2 year old daughter and i’m able to do everything i did pre ba – lifting her gently from around day 5 as well as driving. My boobs now feel part of me and have become quite soft – although they are still sensitive and slightly numb in areas. I’ve started to give my boobs some time off from the Macom as it’s so bloody tight. Found the Asda £4 sports bra a good alternative. Also, don’t judge your boobs too soon – they change so much, especially unders.

    xx
