Helena's girls and their healing

Hi all

As alot of you know, I was meant to have Aurakzai but due to him cancelling twice, I’m now with Helena.

I was never worried or scared one little bit in the lead up to the op with Aurakzai as all of his girls seem to have very little or no pain.

But I’m getting slightly worried now as everyone who’s had Helena either seems to be in a fair bit of pain or quite poorly afterwards.

Any Helena stories would be much appreciated. x

Lisa are you gonn get to meet her before your BA? As on the BA day they only see u in your room for 2 mins??

Hi Lisa, i understand your concerns regarding healing…but don’t forget i had an uplift/nipple lift as well as implants so my recovery was always going to be longer no matter which surgeon I had! As for initially after surgery, a lot of how i felt was due to the anaesthetic and how i reacted to it, i did have a couple of funny turns in hospital! I was in a great deal of pain, especially for the first couple of days, but my emotions were all over the place and I didn’t deal with it very well! I did start to feel a little better on saturday though, the pain wasn’t as intense but i also think this had a lot to do with my state of mind, i felt better in myself as well! I had a bit of a rough night last night but this was down to being force fed a chinese by my “loving” boyfriend lol…i have had no appetite since my op so he thought ordering my fave chinese would be nice, however i obviously am still not up to eating rich foods and threw my ring up all night..i feel sick as a dog today but again, thats not down to the pain – its the chinese’s fault lol! I really think you have to keep an open mind regarding pain etc, as everyone is different hun…don’t be put off by helena because of a few people’s revovery stories – i strongly believe a lot of how we feel whilst healing depends on our state of mind..ie: if we feel low (like i did) the pain seems worse! Helena is a fantastic surgeon hun so please don’t worry

Aah, it’s not just your story that worried me, I’ve seen 4 or 5 other girls on here that have had just a BA (no uplift) and they seem to have been quite bad afterwards.

Yeah, Carmel, I really did like her, she was lovely. I wasn’t a fan of the thought of being bandaged but I’m ok with that now – apart from feeling minging for a week. x

My boyfriend will be trying to force feed me Chinese too! We love our Chinese. Really hope you start to feel better soon Jo. x

You know it may just be pure coincidence hun, like i said everyone is different! helena does bandage you up very tight, but the worst thing about that is that you pong a bit lol! she also uses drains, which i wasn’t sure about but if you think about it, the stuff that comes out (which actually isn’t a lot) would still be floating around inside you if the drains weren’t there so maybe its not a bad thing (if that makes sense)…the first 3 days i thought i was dying lol, but i think thats because i had a more complicated op and didn’t love my boobs straight away (i still don’t but i can’t see them properly yet)…so because i felt so low, the pain seemed 10 times worse, i guess if you love your boobs the minute you see them, which some girls do – then the pain is nothing compared to the excitement of loving your new boobs!! You will be fine hun, i’m sure of it xxx

Thanks Jo. I’m happy she does drains as I really think this helps with the healing. I’m going to have it in my mind that I won’t immediately like them and try my best not to dwell on anything like that till I get my bandages off and see them properly for the first time. Do the bandages get wrapped all the way around your back? She said to still wear sports bra on top of the bandages, imagine that makes it even more uncomfortable. Thank god I’m not getting it done in the height of summer, I’d be baking!

I think I’m just hoping for one of Helena’s girls to come on here and say no, the pain wasn’t all that bad or they weren’t poorly at all. Like you, the ones I’ve read so far all seem to be throwing up all of the time. x

She only bandages you across your front, at the top of your chest and at the bottom..the bandages stop a few centimetres around your back so its not actually that bad but it does feel tight, especially with a sports bra as well, but its just extra support so its all good!! i’v heard a lot of the girls are poorly with sickness etc, but considering the amount of tablets we have to take afterwards i guess its to be expected, you really should take them with food but if your feeling sick anyway the last thing you want to do is eat food..its a vicious circle and not very nice!

Actually painwise, i’m not too bad at all today, only taken paracetomal and ibruprofen, although still feeling sick..but again, i blame the chinese for that lol!

I’m just looking forward to the bandages coming off now so i can see them properly xxx

Glad you’re not too bad today. I’ll have to stock up on paracetamol and ibuprofen then. I read on here that those were two of the things you were meant to avoid and that Nurofen was alright so I’ve already bought a boat load of that in. x

I initially was taking nurofen, but was told that ibuprofen is best taken with paracetomal or co-codamol, but the co-codamol make me even sicker so i don’t take them!

I hope you feel a little better with regards to helena? You really are in safe hands and i’m sure you will be just fine xx P.S. stay away from dodgy chinese though lol x

Thanks Jo, think I definately will avoid chinese for a while! When’s your post op? Wednesday? Hope you feel better and a bit happier with them when the bandages are off. Must be frustrating not to be able to see them properly. x

My post op is on thursday, as there was no nurse available on wednesday cos she was on holiday (an extra day i could have done without)

It is frustrating not being able to see them, cos i still have no idea really what they are like apart from the size which i am happy with xx

do you HAVE to take the meds that are prescribed to you or can i take my own from when i have my op? x

I was prescribed co-codamol lynz but i’m not taking them, if you do take your own meds just double check with the nurse that its ok xx

I was given co codamol and antibiotics! I’ve stopped taking the co codamol Saturday as they are reallyaking me bloated and uncomfy! I’ve only taken 4 paracetamol since then! Aslo I think the antibiotics made me feel sick! But I’ve kept taking them as don’t want infection!

Lisa your gonna be fine! I think because you e been messed around so much u have had triple nerves and alot more to worry about!

Thanks Carmel! I wasn’t nervous the first 2 times with Aurakzai. I’ve had alsorts going through my mind the past 24 hours. Like the post I put on here last night about feeling guilty cos I could’ve saved lots of childrens lives for comic relief with this money. And last night I woke up thinking what if I wake from the anaesthetic to find I’ve still got my own boobs because they’ve found a lump (have history of breast cancer in family). x

Omg I had exact same thought! Paniced that mr t would open me up and find somthing! I think it’s just natural and until the nurse says everything went fine! You’ll be frightended!

When I woke up I asked what time it was so I could see how long I’d been gone! My thinking was if I’d been gone ages then there must have been complications ha ha! Luckliy everything went well!

I’m sure everyone gets the same thoughts!

Also don’t mean to pry but have they discounted you, as u have been messed around more than a last minute girl, and they get discounted straight away!

I think despite the surgeon it will depend on how well u take pain hun! me im a wimp,a little pain and im in the air,it wasnt Bad at all! and the rate of healin i guess is down to luck,when i had a c section i healed Really good! where as a friend had a nitemare time we both had the same doctor! i suggest rest before the op,Make sure ur not tired thats when u get emotional xx

That makes me feel much better Carmel, that you also had same thought! Well, there’s meant to be a cheque arriving today or tomorrow so that when I am able, I can ‘treat myself to some nice underwear’. So I don’t expect it will be for much. But Head office also said they’ll pay for all accommodation and travel. So they’re paying for my boyfriends hotel but because I’ve booked their own chauffeur service, I’m having a struggle on my hands with them to get an answer as to whether they’re willing to refund that. x

Thanks Hush. I’m going to try and take it very easy today and try my best to get a good sleep tonight. Don’t think the fact that I’m being kept awake every night by my boyfriends snoring (which seems to be the worst it’s ever been at the moment) is helping. Feel like chopping his nose off. x

lol couid be have a nite on the sofa hun? honestly when ur tired before hand u end up a big cryin emotional wreak! i was like i Want em out! i see she does the bandages 2 they Really do make u feel mingin an u cant get em wet i used a soapless wash that i ordered online its really good because u feel completely filthy an the bandages make u stink! worse part of it xx

Yeah, I’m not looking forward to those bandages. I’ve got lots of baby wipes on standby but might look into that soapless wash. I think whatever you use, its in your mind that you haven’t had a proper wash and bound to still feel minging. Like the dry shampoo. I can use that but still know I haven’t washed my hair and feel itchy. x

is it just co codamol you ladies were prescribed or are there seperate anti biotics? sorry for such daft questions but i have real problems swallowing pills and tend to vomit when i try to take them so id rather have my own soluble or liquid meds x im a fussy bugger lol

The anti biotics gave me greasey hair 2 apart from that and smellin for a wk hardly any pain at all! poor jo its defo the uplift that caused her pain x Im goin to warn u you may not go to the toilet for upto a wk! But its normal xx

Lol, my Dad has already said to me “mind, you suffer with constipation as it is and the painkillers they give you will make it worse so get some prune juice in”. This is also the Dad who, when I had my 340 rice boobs on, said “is that it? They’re not very big are they?” I said “Mam wanted me to have the smaller size”. He said “oh, I wouldn’t go any smaller, not worth having if you go any smaller”.

Seriously, someone has replaced my Dad with Hugh Hefner as he’s usually so shy and prudish. x

He’s not usually. He’s really taken me by surprise with my boob job cos he’s given e 1k towards it. He’s mellowing in his old age. x

Hi girls…

Hush you were right, i should have taken them naps…I’m feeling soooooo low at the moment, the pain is fine now – not taken painkillers since last night! I’v been crying my eyes out again this morning, i feel fat, bloated, dirty, smelly and just totally fed up! I’m stuck with these stupid bandages till thursday and even then i know i’m gonna hate them even more cos i will see my scars in all their glory God i feel such a wimp!!

Eeee Jo, I really feel for you. And yet through all your crapness you still manage to congratulate us or wish us well. You’re lovely. Now go and have a shallow bath and do what you can to make yourself feel a bit nicer, and have a lie down and get as much sleep as possible. Hopefully, later today, you might feel a little better. x

Jo i removed my own bandages naughty but they was really pissin me off xx

You aint goin to hate them hun! U shouid see my c section scars! bio oil and abit of sun will really fade them! I really want you to be happy with them chick xx

I daren’t take them off myself hush, i’m scared of splitting my wound, especially around my nipple

I’v got it in my head that i’m gonna look like i’v been butchered when i see them I don’t like them now and i can’t see the scars, what am i gonna be like when i can see them…arghhhhh xxx

I had a ba with Helena on Tuesday and I spikenard the only pain iv been is sittin up,, when iv fell slouched down why being asleep! Apart from that iv been fine, Helena used drains on me and she made me stay I’ve nite which I wasn’t expecting got all upset because I didn’t wana stay in Ther haha but they took the drains out the next day which I felt a bit of pain why they were being pulled out! Apart from them 2 fings ad say it’s more like a deep ach than a pain! But Helena is great I’m yet to see the new boobs on tuesday as she has taped me up but the tape is making sure they stick in the right place so I feel safe with it on., I’m scared to get it taken off on tuesday incase they move haha I’ll add pics on Tuesday feel free to add me xx

God what a moaning cow I was lol! It seems so strange reading this now

Anyone having their op with Helena please dont be put off by my story! To be honest the pain is now just a dim memory! Xx

It’s so reassuring to see how fantastic yours look Jo after going through such a bad time with it, it must make it all so worth it. I’m starting to relax about it all now and I’m talking to my hubbie about everything i’m worried about, and he’s promising to look after me and make sure i’m ok, bless him! xx
