Hey ladies as most of u know this is my day one po. Just a quick question how tight should my sports bra be? My surgeon said she wants me to wear my macom as its really supporting (my implants are pretty heavy). This macom feels like its making everything worse though its really rubbing my scars and digging in my armpits. Anyone tired the m&s compression bra and found it supportive enough? Basically I’m trying to find a sports bra that has the same support as the maom but more comfortable any help and advice would be much appreciated ladies 🙂 xxx
Morning lovey!!
I could not handle my macom as it was so tight everywhere!! Ended up getting the m&s zip up shock absorber sports bra which I got instant relief from! Then I ordered a royce post op bra which is more like a normal bra but so supportive still (and still front fastening).
Only now (2 weeks PO) am I able to put my macom bra on. If you find that your bras are hurting your incisions try folding up a soft tshirt and putting it under the bottom of your bra so that is on your dressings instead of the bra- the really helped with me. Xx
Ok hun I’m going to send my partner to get a m&s bra. I can Harding breathe in this macom. What size should I ask him to get I’ve had 545cc over a 34c. Maybe 36f? Thanks huni. How u feeling now xx
Thankyou sooo much lenna!! Partner just came back with 2 m&s zip up shock absorber sports bras and I feel soooo much better. Think its because the straps are so thick and the back is racer design, the macom just dug in around my armpits and shoulders. Feel like I can get a couple hours sleep now…thank god I’m shattered xxx
Sarah, what size is that M&S bra? I’m trying to cover all options:) I’m also a 34C and from what I read they usually come smaller so might need a 36back?
Hi Sarah, sorry for the delay hun I’ve just seen this. I’ve got a 36f. What size did you go for? I felt exactly the same- as soon as I put it on I had instant relief! X
I have 550cc over a 36C and wear a 36F M&S zip up bra x
Sure Yana x
Hi Ladies 🙂 Just to let you know you need the same size in the back, if you go up a back size you’ll lose support, it might feel a little tight to start due to swelling but the support from the bra will help that go down, wearing the wrong back band can cause all kinds of problems! SportsJock do bras that like the Macom expand so you don;t need to know the exact cup size, I love mine cuz I found the macom really uncomfy! x
