Help :'(

I’m having surgery (or supposed to be) on Tuesday and I’ve just taken 2 paracetamol for a headache and realised afterwards they contain aspirin!

Im in a total panic and have tried to make myself bring them back up but no luck.

I’ve text my pc but I am really really worried, dont think I’ll sleep tonight!

If my surgery gets postponed I will be absolutely devistated ‘( I could cry right now x

Don’t worry – I’m sure it’ll be fine. They won’t contain a huge amount so I think you’ll be fine. They might postpone it though, to cover their backs. If it were me I wouldn’t of said anything!

What brand were they and how MG? XX

It was anadin, eventually managed to make myself bring em up. Do u think I should be ok? Don’t think I’m guna sleep a wink tonight, not heard back from my pc which isl suppose is understandable being a saturday night x

Don’t worry about it, hun. A couple of aspirin isn’t going to be an issue. Sorry to hear you got so distressed about it that you brought them back up.

Just tell your PC that you checked the wrong box You should be fine but I think they might get a little bit funny and want to cover their backs xx

They advise girls to come off their pills because it increases risks of blood clotting but not everyone does so I suppose it’s the same thing. Im sure I’ll hear from my pc tomorrow x

hello luv i work in dr,s and paracetomol r fine luv they dont contain aspirin, only anadin extra , sualy pharmacist wud tell u if they did, cos u can only take paracetomol wen preggers so dont worry hun xxxx

The reason you’re supposed to avoid aspirin around the time of the op is because it thins the blood so you’re more likely to bleed. Are you sure they contained aspirin – was it on the label? I know how shit you’d feel if it was rescheduled but its better to be safe than sorry. Hope you’ve managed to get to sleep xx

Hey Claire, I managed to bring em bk up to b on the safe side.

Spent ages googling it and checking when it is advisable to avoid tablets before surgery and there’s so many different answers.

They ranged from 6 weeks before, 2 weeks, 1 week, 5 days and 3 days.

Fingers crossed I’ll b ok, was a looooong night! x

The nurse gave me paracetamol the night before my op im sure u will be fine huni xx

lisa stop worrying a few wont make a slight bit of difference it thins your blood so think they mean more for the people who take them regulary. there is more risk with smoking before yet you see the smokers chuffing away outside the hospital before they go in. if your still worried ask the nurse but when i had my ba 2 weeks ago we stopped for toilet break and i had a latte totally bloody forgot i was nil by mouth didnt say ought cos there was no way i was having the op delayed xx

go into album and it will say upload image then search for the photo from your drive and click upload then save. xx

Klkl do the rice boobs tend to b bigger coz mine looked huuuge! Thanks to everyone who helped me when I was freaking out xx
