Help, Advice please – BA 28th April has been moved from Kidderminster to London

I’m having my BA with Mr Russo on 28th April at Kidderminster, but phoned my PC yesterday to check everything was ok and was told that my op has changed from being at Kidderminster to Highgate, London!! I’m a daycase and booked at Kidderminster because it’s close to home! I have a 10month old baby. My boyfriend was going to take me in be morning, then go back home to take care of our little boy, then my friend was going to come to the hospital later and drive me home, this is obviously going to be a lot more difficult with the distance. MYA have said that they will pay for a hotel, but my PC said she doesn’t think that travel costs will be covered!?! Surely they must?? Also as I’m a daycase I have been told my surgery is likely to be in the morning, bit worried that I will have to be in London mega early, which means my partner and I will leave mega early with the baby. Does anyone have any experience of this, would MYA sort out a hotel for the night before as well? It’s made everything more complicated!!!

I know how you feel hun it’s made things difficult for me too, I have a four year old and an 8 month baby and the extra distance means that my partner can’t drive up the next day to pick me up and drive back that same day so I have all sorts of babysitting issues – nightmare!! Hope you get things sorted xxx

It seems that we will have to kick up a fuss to get some decent compensation. We should get a lovely comfy hotel room, travel costs (iv seen some peeps on here get drivers to pick them up etc) and a lil bit knocked off for the inconvenience and stress lol!! We can dream. I will speak to them Tomo, cos I booked and Paid for kiddi as it was in mine and my families best interest to go there! It’s now gonna cause a right fuss to ensure my 5 and 3 year old are sorted. And they are my main priority, I don’t want them affected. Not my fault that the hospital isn’t up to standard, they should have realised that before they booked us all in and took our money!! X

I’m in the same boat girls they have offered free hotel but travel costs ate going to be alot higher to! So gutted xxx

Omg i have my BA booked for 28th also! Not been told if any change of hospital?!? Will have major freak out if it has!! x

I wish they had called and said we have had to move it but tel, us what issues it’s going to cause and we’ll sort it but it seems that it’s more like we’ve had to move it, we’re trying to sort a hotel but how you get there and back are your problem!! X

None of this is your fault ladies,MYA should be accommodating you,I cant believe I am reading this to be honest,you did not make the changes they did,lets hope they can arrange transport for all of you,or at least cover the cost,after all you have paid for a service,the agreed arrangements have been changed by MYA not you.

MYA have a reputation for being one of the best cosmetic surgery providers,let us hope they can sort this out for all of you.

Not good that some of you have to find out on the forum that your surgery/hospital venue has changed,not good at all.let us know how you all get on,xxx

i tried kickin off but its not good. they wil only offer hotel room.. gutted because its a mission away now xx

Thanks Tina, I thought maybe the MYA Mod on here may have picked this up for us. I think to cover the travel costs isn’t asking too much at all. x
