I’m 8 days post op and not particularly in any pain – in fact it’s been fairly easy – but the thing I cannot cope with is sleeping upright at an angle! It’s impossible for me to sleep (I slept on my front pre-op) and I keep waking up almost every after after I do eventually fall asleep and I’m curled up on my side! I’ve buily a fort with 4 regular and 2 v pillows so I have the foundations, just finding it horrendous. Does anyone have any tips? Or does anyone know if we’re allowed to take any supplements like kalms or ZMAs that could help?! I’m getting desperate now! The lack of sleep is becoming intolerable! x

I thought I’d find it the worst also as always sleep on my side. I hate sleeping on my back.
I have a pillow vertical then another in front of it horizontal then another vertical and then another horizontal lol.. I then have my large V pillow propped at the front of this and under the sides of it have another flat pillow each side. I wear a soft travel neck pillow and lay on all that and pull the V shaped pillow over my shoulders.. sounds crazy but it’s soo comfy and keeps me roughly at 45deg.
I’m sure you can take herbal remedies hun which I think kalms are?

I’m also struggling! I’ll be 5 days post op tomorrow and I wake up about three times a night with a numb bum. I started sleeping in bed and now on the sofa. It’s ridiculous! Any advice for sore bums? Xx

I’ve been sleeping on the sofa to make sure I can’t roll over at all. I think this also helps as my feet reach the other sofa arm so I also can’t skip down in the night.
I put 2 normal pillows in the shape of a T right in the corner, with a v pillow on top (sides pulled round when i’m comfy), then a travel neck pillow for support. I find it very comfy, only night i’ve struggled is the first night when I wasn’t on the sofa.
I always slept on my tummy or on my side, so I was really worried. But honestly, set up on the sofa with all the pillow positioned correctly, and the travel pillow for support, is really comfy! I think the neck pillow is what changed the game for me (and not having to worry about rolling).
    Good luck xxx
