HELP!!!!!!!!!! Are u meant to take off steri strips at 2 weeks :s

Im 2 weeks post op and I’m sure I remember the nurse saying I shud take them off at 2 weeks and just leave them but I’ve seen some girls on here sayin theyve had them on at 3 weeks and stuff. Am I meant to buy my own and put new ones on myself every coule of days. Also whrn i take them off today do i jus pull them off? Do i shower normally and get the insicions wet? And how do i dry them afterwards? Help me girlies xx

I’m two weeks PO and I took mine of last night. When I went to my week check up the nurse put fresh ones on and said I could take them of in a few days. She said that I was fine to shower just as long as I didn’t get the incisions soapy and just pat them dry with a towel. I just got my boyfriend to peel them off gently, it didn’t hurt. The nurse didn’t say anything about putting other ones on. Hope this helped xx

hi im 3 weeks and at my 2 weeks post op appointment the nurse put fresh on .. gave me a full pack of new strips and told me to change them then to just take them off today … must just vary hun… deffo wudnt be buying them … any body using bio oil at 3weeks?xxx

Hi, im one week post op today and just saw the lovely nurse at manchester today, and she took down the big dressings but left my steristrips on and said to leave them for another week, so im back next tue for next check and they should come off then. no mention of buying them and doing myself, hope this helps xx

At my 7 day post op last Friday my dressings were taken off and steristrips put on. I was told I had to leave them on for another week and then I can shower and take them off. I’m not to put anymore on. So I’m desperate for this Friday to come so I can shower properly !! Xx

I had a 7 day check up and next one is at 6 weeks (again with nurse) and then final one at 12 weeks with mr k xx

Hmmmm, wonder why im havin a two week check? Maybe its cos i had a lift? Any of you other girls get a two week as well as one week check? Id be ok with goin for the six week one if everythin still ok by next week xx

I had a one week check and 2 week check and I’ll be meeting my surgeon in 4 weeks for my 6 week check, my strips are off and I also have not been told to replace them xx
