Hi, I recently had ba and uplift last week. I was really apprehensive about the uplift but I was told one thing which helped me make my mind up and which stuck with me…maybe it could help you too. Breast implants will only magnify what you already have, no matter what size implant you have, and, with age, weight loss and gain and pregnancy, breasts will change over time. I have to say, that I am really glad I had uplift now, despite this last week recovering being quite restricted, but it’ll be worth it in the end. Honey, I would make as many appointments with as many surgeons as possible and obtain as many opinions as you can to help you weigh up your options and make your mind up. Good luck honey xxx
thank you so much michelle79 i will check and see what other surgeons say i just dont think i could handle the pain of all that and dont think i could afford the uplift as well but if they did recommend an uplift i would hold off until i could afford it. thank you xx p.s what size was you at first and what are you hoping for xx
You’re welcome honey, I was 34b before and now in a dd sports bra. They’re nowhere near settled yet but every day my breasts are changing. I had my first post-op appointment other day and I had every other staple taken out, going back next week have rest moved. nurse says I’ve healed really well so far. It’s not that painful really, having ba just feels like you have an elephant stuck on your chest, which is more achey than painful. Also, having uplift I honestly can’t feel any pain and was put to sleep when I had it done so I don’t know any different, except my nipples are higher up haha, I’m one week post op now and I’m just uncomfortable and top heavy, that’s all. But every day it’s getting easier. xxx
Oh I can’t say I’m really hoping for a specific size, I’ll be happy to stay DD, (in 40dd sports bra my bf got me two whilst at hospital because macom surgical bra was too small!!) but I really don’t know what size I will end up, nurse says I may need 34E bra…I’ll know more about the size I will end up by 6-8 weeks, but even then they say breasts don’t really settle for at least a year, same with scars. I’ll stay in the forums to update you and everyone…it’s been really helpful for me to see some post-op girls coming back a year later to update on their progress xxx
Hi Hun,
Just saw ur post…I had my op today!!! I am sitting in my hospital room now feeling fab!
I gad a 36D and a 36E also the E was so much saggier and I’m only 19! I hated being seen in a bikini so decides to have something done about it! So far I’m feeling great..just a little weak on my arms.
I had 360cc low profile unders – when I had my uplift the surgeon removed the tissue in my larger one to make it the same size as the D, he also trimmed my nipple!
I am sitting here now thinking really? They look so neat! I was like u and obviously didn’t want the uplift but so far I’m so happy!
So worth it! Also like Michelle said they cant 100% guarnatee they will be the same size after without the uplift.
I don’t know y but mine don’t feel any bigger than when j came in yet to be honest! Maybe a cup size but they may grow tomorrow!!! Xxx
Melissa honey I thought that after my op, about breasts looking quite small, it’s because they’re so swollen, but you’ll notice a BIG difference in a few days as the swelling starts to go down!! Drink lots of water and apply ice packs for the swelling. Glad you’re really happy, Happy Happy healing honey!! xxx
