help i cant swallow the anti biotics!!

Hello I’m meant to start taking the anti biotics today and I can’t swallow them. I can take the painkillers if I break them into 4 but these anti biotics are beasts!! I keep gagging and really don’t want to keep trying and end up hurting myself. Did anyone else have this? Do you think if I called the clinic they would give me another form? Helpp!!! x

Can you take them in a spoon of honey, that will help it slide down you throat,I would definitely call the nurse and let her know that you are having problems,there may be an alternative she could prescribe for you.xxx

hey! i split them in half to make them easier to swallow. have a few sips of water before & then pop the pill right on the back of your tongue and take a big mouthful of water and get it down lol

Thanks tina. No nothings working. I struggle to take 20mg tablets and thses are 150mg so I’ve got no chance!! Might ask them if it would be ok to empty the capsule into a yoghurt and take it that way? x

Hey hunni I always take pills with yoghurts as I have a real issue with swallowing tablets too its almost as if my throat is like na no way you can get lost!! haha so I trick it into thinking its just food
