help!!! im a newbie :)

hi all, i have been desperate for a ba ever since i was about 14, i just new i needed one. im 20 now and cant bare my 32b boobs. i have been putting it off because i have the biggest phobia of needles. just wondering could someone answer a few questions for me

1- do they put a thing in your hand to put ga in (i think its called a butterfly but dont no lol) and leave it there when you wake up?

2- do they take blood off everyone during preop?

3- do they use disolvable stitches?

4- do they always use drains?

5- do they put you on a drip?

i no i may sound like a wimp but it takes over my life lol im not bothered about the pain just the needles lol. any help would be great! thanks bex x

Hey hun I had mine on Tuesday..

1. They do put a little needle thing in the back off your hand just before you go to sleep- but honestly its painless and you’re too busy thinking about everythings else to notice!

2. I didn’t get any blood taken at my pre-op.

3. I had Dr Aurakzai and he didn’t even use stitches, he used that really strong glue instead.

4. I did have drains, not sure if you always do, but again they are painless. The only thing thats a faff is having to carry them about with you when you need to nip to the loo! Even when the nurse came in to take them out I didn’t feel anything.

5. I didn’t get put on a drip.

aww bless u, but belive me… no1 is more scared of needles than me!

1. yes they do

2. no blood taken

3. stiches were taken out – didnt feel a thing – boobs were numb anyway

4. didnt have drains

5. No drip

i was so scared of the GA but when you lie on the theatre bed so much else goes through your head thats the last thing on ur mind!!

it worth it in the end. im a BIG wimp and i pulled though and so will you!

aww thanks girls makes me feel a lot better about it! not scared of the op or ga just the needles! ill just have to get over it if im gunna have it done! hopefully will have it done as soon as i can afford it might have to look into mya finance. thanks alot! xxx

oh and does the clinics smell like the hospital smell? it makes me pass out lol xxx
