    Hi!

I’ve been sleeping on my sides since 2 weeks post op I am now close to being 10 weeks post op and whenever I sleep on my side my boobs have started aching and despite still being veiny, my right boob has some marks on the side. Is this normal?

Thank you! I was thinking that but wasn’t too sure with it only being on one boob xx

You’re not meant to sleep on your side until 6 weeks post op? Xx

Maybe sleeping on your side is causing them? I would try and sleep on your back again to avoid them getting worse. Especially if you say you’re aching too xx

Sleeping on your side isn’t a problem babe, Its just your skin stretching due to them fluffing, I’ve slept on my side to & have had no issues, I wouldn’t worry, everyone’s body’s heal and react differently, it’s definitely not because of the position you sleep in, sleeping on your side is recommended for the first week & that is due more to comfort as long as you wear your bra for 6 weeks your boobs will stay in place x

I slept on my back for 2 weeks and after the second week I kept waking up on my side, I asked the nurse if that was okay and she told me I could sleep on my side

They’re just stretch marks hun, you can sleep on your side too as long as you’re comfortable and not fully on your front.
