Help! Just had BA… Should be support bra be tight?

Hi ladies. I had my BA yesterday and still very sore and swollen. I’m currently wearing a 34DD sports bra but have been told I need a 32 back really… but the DD doesn’t feel tight like my D bra does. I’ve read I should be wearing a tight bra to keep swelling controlled so which do you think I should go for? DD or D?

Oh and I’m 5ft2, 7.5st was 32a and had 380cc overs.

you usually go up a band size for the first few wks after surgery, so i think you should be in a 34.

your sports bra shouldnt be so tight that it leaves marks on your boobs, so i would go for the 34DD bra for now

i had the exact same stats as you with my first ba 7yrs ago, and i wore a 34E sports bra, then when they settled, i ended up a 32DD

i did first time round yes….and i’m 5’2” and weighed 7 and a half stone!! i’ve just had my 2nd ba with an uplift, and i had 460 unders this time xx

Can I ask, how long does it take for them to settle roughly? I’m so uncomfortable and they look so tight and swollen. Thanks x
